check it. world's smallest P4 system.

We're thinking of making these in bulk if there is a demand for
small PCs, or if we actually figure out how to sell em.

As far as I know, this is the smallest P4 system made. There
are loads of other smaller systems, but most use the VIA
Eden/C3 processors which don't compare in speed.

Dimensions are 20cm X 20cm X 20cm as seen next to the Pepsi
can. 2.4 Ghz (up to 3.2 Ghz). 512 DDR.

What you all think? Who should we market this shit to? Old
geezers, college kids or teens? Would you pay more for a PC
just to get it ultra small and super quiet?

MiniPC Temporary Page

Let me know what you think of this shit. Price is high because
of custom work AND mostly laptop components used (ex:
40 gig laptop hard drive runs about $180 alone). It took
one of my guys about a week to put this together.

Just feedback.

Peace!
Luc L.

Id like to know the kind of heat it generates inside the casing...
Im sure its just too fucking hot in there...
Might run well for a while...but it will wearout parts too quickly.

Everything is lower power consumption, low heat. That's part
of the reason why it's expensive. We set this thing to play UT
2004 all night, bots against bots and it maintained good
temperature.

We're keeping it running 24/7 to see how long before shit
starts hitting the fan.

thanks for the feedback. right. just like on a laptop, you can't
really replace parts too easily.

i guess the point of this is size, not really the ability to open
it up and poke around in it.

that doesn't even come close to being the smallest. There is one in black looking like a car amplifier and about half the size of yours or even less, I do not remember the URL but it is already being resold around the world

Also, acrylic cases are bad for noise prevention

I would definately not start reselling anything that is not totally silent. Small is good, good looking too, but on top of that it should be totally silent. In the age of pentium m this is very easy to do. There are passive coolings (no water) available for P4 as well. Those small nice looking things people may want to put into their living rooms and use for hi-fi and video, tv. You do not want any noise there.

These Falcon Frag Boxes are nice, but a lot more money and bigger. I guess the trade-off for the higher cost is that you can replace and upgrade parts yourself, they don't use laptop parts.

http://falcon-nw.com/fragbox.asp

I was thinking about one for a dedicated gaming machine to hook into a TV.
