Who do you use to regester your domains?
I read godaddy sucks. I used them on a few but someone said they could even be stolen (not quite sure how that works). But I'm starting a mainstream site I ahve a lot of faith in and I dont want it hijacked. Someone tell me why godaddy sucks and who I should use instead.

I use http://www.namecheap.com - they rock. I have hundreds of domains with them and never a problem.

DirectNic is a bit fucked. I was looking for some domains there (mainstream, non-sexual), and because those were already registered, it suggested a bunch of other ones, including:
paederast.com · child-molester.com A man who has sex with a boy What the fuck is up with that?

I use enom, godaddy/bluerazor/wildwestdomains, directi.
there have been horror stories about godaddy, but usually from people who were accused (rightly/wrongly) of spamming, so godaddy either shutdown the domain or deleted it. never had a problem with them (500+ domains there) and they answer the phone 24 hours a day. seriously great customer service. |
