Thanks again everyone for your help in pointing me to some good websites for learning how to get a start in this industry. Now, my Big 3 questions that I'd like some opinions on:

1. what is a good web-host for a beginner--i don't need anything free, i can spend some $$ for a fast connection.

2. should i do a paid membership site, or a free site?

3. should i have a traditional website with pictures, or should i go to the popular linking format (i.e. adult buffet and the hun)?

Good luck getting started. Don't start a paysite unless you have money to burn, because you can build the greatest site on earth, without traffic coming in, you can't make a buck off it. Learn how to walk before you run.

The best advice is to NOT use pay hosting for now. As a beginner you're sure to make mistakes, and those mistakes are better made using someone else's money. You might find this business requires more time and effort than you think, too, especially as you'll have a small return for your hard work for a while. Experiment on a small scale and gain experience.

1. how do i get traffic
2. why i can't make any money

my advice to you?
read all the adult guides out there,,,
sign up with a free host,,,
invest in some content
start making galleries and posting them,,
learn how to filter and flow traffic,,

understand how to effectively make a web page layout that converts..

this should take at least 4 months of rigurous webmastering,,,
out of those 4 months i gurantee you'll make at least $150.00 but not much more :-)

not trying to be an asshole but thats reality
so now are you sure you wanna get into the biz

Hi aviscero, I would suggest going the freehost way, till you learn and get the feeling of things, it can get expensive and frustrating to start a paysite if you don't know how to get traffic to it. Just build galleries, get some good sponsors and host on a free host, that way you just spend money on content (some programs let u use their content but everyone does so it is all over the net) so it best to buy content nobody is using or at least not as many people.
Excellent free hosts I can recomend are www.lightningfree.com www.girlshost.com
That is what I suggest if you just starting on this business

I would take baby steps and learn along the way if I were you.
