lolol, i ended up convincing the girl at the counter that the towel was already in bad shape when i found it in my room....lolol, there was no detailed report of it anyway, and she didnt really put up a fight, so the manager came over and said she didnt wanna argue over $50

But I fucking hate that hotel - they sell the towel for $40 and then charge you even more than their own retail.

I'm an expert on hotels now, and I have to say that the Diplomat is the worst Westin I have set foot in. It's too bad - it's such a great building - but the management really sucks.

I thought the Peachtree was a pretty good hotel. The design was a little off - like having to walk a half mile or taking stairs or an escalator to get anywhere... But they built that thing many many years ago, whereas the Diplomat is only like 4 years old or something.

The management at the Diplomat REALLY sucked. The Peachtree was pretty good. And let me tell you, the food and the waitstaff at the Peachtree was VERY impressive. How long did it take you to get a cup of ketchup in Lauderdale?

I would not stay at the Diplomat on a random trip, but I would definately stay at the Peachtree on a random trip.
