Pool.com What A Fucking Joke...

Won an auction for a domain here is the run around I'm getting to get hold of it:

Your domain was paid for and the necessary information transferred to the registrar Aug 6th according to our records. The domain *******.com is registered with the registrar PARAVA NETWORKS INC DBA REGISTRATEYA.COM NAAME.COM and they can be contaced at [email protected]

Check out this site parava.net =)

does not seen likely I will aquire this domain anytime soon...If ever

POOL.COM

They have others too like NicGenie.com if I'm not mistaken.. all part of Parava and Naame.com, etc. You should be fine.

wrote to them over a week ago have yet to receive a response. pool should be using a better registrar or give the client a selection or registrars to choose from...

yes, a lot of this drop services use as many registrars as they can. even if they barely have a front page. or login info. but they are all accredited. I suggest you keep an eye on the 60 day time period and transfer out of there on the 61st day. make sure to unlock the domain via email to the company and pool about 5 days before you transfer.

but at least the domain is yours. LOL.

I bought a name for 8k, YES 8k and I am have to do LOTS of work to get it transferred. not smooth by any means, but at least the name is mine.

new rules for these "fly-by-night" registrars should be in place by next year, but in the meantime they're still catching domains.

all services like SN,NW,PL use a large network.

enom is the one I trust the most because I have access to use my
name, mod it, transfer it (push it) right away. but you got to work with the service that caught the name you want.

good luck.

webair: Parava isn't that bad. Their domain management site is at:

http://www.10-domains.com/

They caught me Reporter.com a couple of years ago, back when they were catching domains through NicGenie, instead of partnering with Pool, and the domain management was straightforward.

What's really bad is when you catch a name through a Korean or Japanese registrar, and there's not a single English page on their site. That was fun.

I got one domain I am about to give up on through them... you figure with all the money their making they would at least help you get control of the domain. All they give you is the link to the shit hole registrar

I think that is the concept of "pool"....it is a pool of registars that all attack the deleted list as soon as it hits...which ever one gets it...get a cut with pool.com ....so...pool is like having a team of companies out there attacking the list for you....which ever one gets it...that is who your registar actually is.

I could be wrong, but that is what I think....reason being...one day I got 3 names.....each had a different registar....what fun! lol....but hey....at least I got the names I wanted.

Again....I could be totally wrong in my assumption....please correct me if you know something different.
