So I need to plan which galleries I'll use for the month ahead.. and first would like to know what is the date the US will enforce the new 2257 law and once that date reached.. how sponsors will handle non-hosted galleries...

Assuming no changes or injunctions are made, the enforcement date begins 30 days after the date of change.

pussymoney.. are you a sponsor? how will you handle non-hosted galleries..? old & new ones... because obviously.. there's thousands and thousands of old non-hosted gals promoting any sponsors just floating around... Are sponsors liable for that?

Yes we are a sponsor. Yet please do not take a single fucking word I say as legal advice or what our final decesion will be.
Option 1 is of course to allow the majority of webmasters to bury their heads like always. Play the odds game.
Option 2 is use our hosting for your non hosted galleries, confusing yes, but basicly think free hosting with no banners, etc.
Option 3 is making sure people know not to update previously published sites. By all means they should be exempt, unless everyone gets super anal then in theory a page is published every time someone views it.
Option 4 I can not disclose just yet due to competitive reasons, it will be a fix for our affiliates at least according to our attorney's. Despite that we make no warrenty on that since with adult comes risk and you choose to be in this biz.

I personally think we see it as it will be and they do not even read our complaints. As for an injunction, this business is never ever for the greater good of itself. So I do not forsee any adult attorney filing one unless someone steps up and pays them to do so. They make money defending you so why would they.

It is written how it will be timed. So 30 days is 30 days.

But it would be nice to have all the sponsors make a statement on their future policy regarding 2257.. many of us submit galleries a month in advance for paid spots.. even more for TheHun listings... I doubt that switching domains (to one hosted by the sponsor) is a solution...

You're about the first sponsor who has admitted it and I'm sure a lot of affiliates were thinking that the sponsors were hiding their heads in the sand too

well.. if sponsors are gonna do like some do regarding spam.. look the other way regarding affiliates using their content on non-hosted galleries.. that will be fine with me.. but you'll also have sponsors that will just terminate your account.. I want to know who are those...

I am doing my best. If this is the final version, then you will have 30 days from that date. I need to make sure its final version before I jump the gun and have our affiliates have to do a bunch of rework. Sorry that is the best I can do.

Sadly many are, then again many never were compliant with the current regs to begin with.

There will always be those that term your account. Some do it for money, others just for public relations and pay you on the side and tell you to resign up.
My personal stance is follow the laws if I like them or not.

if your talking about free content that you got from the sponsor, and you making your own galleries....then sorry to say, that is YOUR responsibility to track down 2257 for each gallery

the sponsor doesn't, and probably won't, have to help you out in any way...in fact, i see very few sponsors giving out the 2257 docs for any girls...

basically, if you have the content, it is YOUR job to comply, not the sponsors....so if the feds coming knocking on your door "the sponsor has all the docs" is NOT going to help you

im talking for non US webmasters... I personally do not have to comply with the US law... I'll have to comply with the sponsors' policy however...

It is nowhere near what is needed just yet. I did look it over before demo and screenshots and after. Still does nothing for me except worry about a server crash or DB error.
I do wish it was more beefed up.
