Just because that is the legal age of consent that doesn't mean all 14 year old girls are sexually active. I am sure there is no more of a percentage of Canadian 14 year olds having sex than there is in the U.S. In fact....I would hazard to guess that the percentage is much higher in the U.S.

My mother (in the U.S.) got married at 15, and it was nothing unusual 40 years ago or so. It's only recently that 14-18 year olds are considered children. In my opinion, they should be treated as slightly stupid young adults. That's not to say I thing 14- year-old girls should be cruising the singles bars... I just don't think their 17-year-old boyfriends should go to prison for getting a little too enthusiastic and getting them pregnant.

That actually happened here in Calgary Alberta.
The parents took a 44 year old US Male to court to stop an internet affair and marriage but was unsuccesful in protecting the 14 year old girl. AND I MEAN GIRL - not woman.

Yes - that was the number one reason given to me.
However, it is a true statement with a real sex education that includes how most orgasm.

The most common mistake I noticed is that a guy thought he could have standard intercourse and she should orgasm, when in fact it is a lie - and now some schools have begun teaching that.
