What's the best online stock brokerage these days?

What's the best online stock brokerage these days? I used to use E-Trade* a lot back in the late 90s. Who's the market leader and who has the best online tools today in 2004? I think I'm getting back in the market.

In Canada, there all pretty much the same and charging pretty much the same fees (more or less $5 difference from one another) IMO. Wasn't E-trade purchased by TD a while ago?

If you're looking for discount brokers you can also check out

http://www.etrade.com/
http://www.fidelity.com/
http://www.schwab.com/

These are the best atm.

If you got big money and want an investment company to do the job without having a clue about stocks yourself go to Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo or Morgan Stanley.

Timely order execution. I just found out that my E Trade account is still open. I just funded it and bought 1000 shares of VCLK in a matter of minutes so all is well.

If you play the pinks, you need Ameritrade. You really can't go wrong with them.

You must be a frigging multi-millionaire. All you ever do is talk about money.
