When a team of Black Canadians who grew up in the Caribean win a relay medal over a team of white Germans, should I celebrate? Did my guys win?
I never really understood why nationaly became such a huge part of the Olympics. To me, it's just about watching the best athletes in the world. That being said, it would be nice to see a fundamentalist Muslim win a gold and use it as a platform to denounce American/Israeli imperialism in the Middle East.  |
