Question about reading dvd-r's...content provider's, anyone...help!
So I've got like 30 dvd-r's with content on them that I need to sort through and organize.
Here's the skinny...I have three drives...two are cdrw/dvd combo drives and one is a straight up cdrw drive. I cannot even open the disks which are the 4gig dvd-r disks...all assorted makers. A few of the disk I can open with my laptop and see the contents...but when I try to play a movie or copy a file...shit goes haywire. All the drives work fine in every other sense...they play dvd's, burn, etc fine. Am I retarded? What gives...is switching the dma on or off going to help...I read somewhere that service pack 1a instead of service pack 1 might be required...I'm at a loss. WTF.
