Mitsubishi UK sell a version that has 345hp at the flywheel as standard. It's the Evo 8 MR FQ-340.

See if you can guess what the "FQ" stands for...

This is why I love turbo cars, they react to mods like V8s.

(ROUGH estimates)
turbo + new exhaust = ~20hp
v8 + new exhaust = ~25hp
honda + new exhaust = 2hp;

:1orglaugh

That's the great thing about factory turbocharged cars, they've got strong bottom ends straight from the factory.

And on the honda comment, that only really holds true if you've got the stock engine in there. Swapping in a bigger engine and doing internal work instead of just the basic boltons, you can easily make 200+ whp on an NA 1.8L engine. There's a guy here running low 12's in a full interior daily driven 2000 hatchback making 220 whp at 9000 RPM with an acura integra GSR 1.8 liter motor.

Then again, honda's in the quarter mile arent a good idea anyway, I'd rather build it up to handle like its on rails.

The Evo on the other hand, well, its lightning fast in the quarter, and handles like a dream as well :Graucho

I dont wanna start an domestic vs. import war. To each their own, my reason for getting this car is because its practical (4 door), amazing handling (like a go-kart), and its fast. I also like the fact that its a 4 cylinder making pretty much the same horse power (if not more) than a V8.
