This is a somewhat funny, but sad story (for me at least).

Look at this banner - it says "We've Missed You. We Want You Back." However, the story i'm about to tell you is so disturbing in my eyes, it shows their is only one thing they've missed -- your money. After that, they couldn't care less.

I've been promoting a sponsor on IBILL for the last 2 years. Even among their issues, I always felt signups were fair, and they always paid on time. I never had issues with payment.

A few months ago, this sponsor (which will remain nameless for now) switched all affiliates off the IBILL payout onto his own. His reasoning was that he was switching over to a cascading system, so IBILL would pay him, and he would then issue us checks. He really did buy a cascading system - I know cause I beta tested it.

I have not been paid, nor the rest of the affiliates in over 2 months. The last pay period I was paid for was 4/15-4/30. Whenever I speak to this sponsor (who I consider one of my best friends in this industry - we were very close), all I get is a scammer's story.. "I'll pay you today", "Checks have been sent", "I'll call you back" etc.

I am almost sure he has been receiving his IBILL wires on time, because I had multiple accounts with him.. one of the accounts I guess was not switched over to his propietary payout and I have received Ibill checks every week on time.

So I call up IBILL, and ask politely to be switched back onto their payout - to salvage my future rebills (which are somewhat significant). They politely tell me no, and that is the sponsor's decision. I explain to them how I am getting fucked by my sponsor, so every 2 weeks he gets his wire with my money, yet I don't get paid. I ask to speak to a manager. The rep assures me everyone there will tell me this same thing - "its the sponsors choice"

Ya know.. CCBILL made a step in the right direction to allow affiliates to see if they were getting shaved back in January. It's time for IBILL to either take a step in this direction, or show they don't care about the affiliates. So if you are an affiliate, and you are promoting an IBILL sponsor, beware, as IBILL will let you get fucked, and won't do anything to amend the situation. Considering all my personal details and payout amounts come up in their system, I think I should have a right to decide who pays me... IBILL, I am asking you to amend this situation and make it right, or forever let it be known that you don't care about the revsharers.

As for the individual sponsor, it won't be posted up right now, and I will have a thread dedicated to this at the right time, so If I am not paid, I can deal the biggest blow right before Internext. I will not sit around and be tooled around, and I will not let this get past internext without getting paid.

Ibill is a joke, just like anyone who is still using them.

But anyway, it sux that you didn't get paid. If the sponsor is still online you might want to name it or other webmasters might not get paid.

I love the people from ibill to death, they are good folks and usually try very hard...but I hate to hear stories like this

While after reading your thing, I can tell it is VERY much the sponsors fault and not Ibill, because he transferred the billing over, and Ibill doesn't have much legal right to transfer much...

suck to see ibill put up banners that beg for people to come back, makes me know they are hurting

I doubt this "sponsor" will be at Internext. He's quickly turning into Perfection Jeff it seems.

BTW, it isnt iBill's fault. They could get sued if they issued payouts to the revsharers directly and the sponsor advised them that they were making the payouts themselves.

I'm just glad I only have a couple hundred bucks in rebills with that fucker.

i'm fair, and want to give him one last chance, but if wednesday rolls around, and still no payment that is CLEARED, you can be assured there will be a detailed thread naming the sponsor, and the complete story.

I will not let Internext come by without getting paid, and I will give myself enough time to deal as much damage prior to the show if need be.

You shouldn't be ripping apart iBill for this. They are probably legally required to do things the way they currently do. They have the main agreement with the sponsor, not you, they can't just tell the sponsor to "fuck off".

You should definitely take this up with your "best friend".

Yep.. If I understand cascading correctly.. This has nothing to do with iBill AND if a sponsor changes their account so they handle payout checks instead Ibill, then it's 100% on the sponsor.

To be completely honest, the sponsor should not have a right to switch off how i get paid. It's not 'without regret'. Remember this sponsor can be sued. He has enough affiliates to justify a class action lawsuit. Didn't just recently buy a new house (last 8 months or so)? Let's take it if he can't pay.

i remember seeing pictures of a recently purchased boat as well from him...

I dont get it. If you signed-up with ibill, the sponsor cannot close your account without any reason, so you get the rebills forever there.

ALL AND ANY PAYMENT PROCESSORS GIVE ME THE SHITS....

Third party processors exist to offer a service - often they do, sometimes they don't.

The bottom line is - there is no way to go with a processor than downwards - usually at a cost to the client. They can only go bust, have technical problems or just forget about "service" - they have no redeeming factors to offer......

IT IS TIME PROCESSORS PLACED SECURITY DEPOSITS WITH A THIRD PARTY IN TRUST IN THE EVENT OF THEIR DEMISE/PROBLEMS.

Hate em all.. tho there are some nice folks in that industry!

PS... About the "We want you back" stuff. This is a company that has associations with Penthouse - not the most wonderful association to be proud of.

Penthouse was a company that sat on it's fat ass for literally decades and watched the empire collapse. Even with any amount of reorganisation/cash injection/dumping of founders, there is no evidence of improvement... The odds are it can get worse with a management team who just "don't get it".

I too have been dealing with this situation for the last two months. The last check I received was dated 4/28/04 and was sent by the website owner. A week later I received an e-mail from him saying that he had issued checks for the month of March , there was a miscommunication with I-Bill and they decided not to send out check or release funds to him so he paid out of pocket. All further checks would be issued by him and that he would be switching to a new cascade billing system soon.

1 1/2 months went by and no more payments from him or I-Bill so I began e-mailing him asking about payments but never any response. I have spoken with him at least 10 times in the past 2 months by phone and have been told the check went out Monday, sorry it will go out this Monday, I am writing checks now,call me back tomorrow, It should be there tomorrow,call me back,call me back.

Then he finally agreed to paypal it to me which he still has not done.

The problem that I have with I-Bill is this whole time I was calling and e-mailing them and getting the same run around from their reps and accounting. I was told by them that the webmaster had switched to have the payout sent to him and that I could request to close out the account and receive final payment which I did.

Then I finally find out that that option is not an option since the webmaster has switched to having all payments sent to him.I signed up with this website through I-Bill and dont understand why they allow him to all of a sudden decide he wants all payments to go to him?

But the real problem I have is to this day this website still has on his webmaster page that all checks will be issued and guaranteed by I-Bill. He still has the I-Bill sign up page and I-Bill is still accepting sign ups with webmasters under that impression that checks will be coming from them. The reps I spoke with didnt seem to care.

As far as I know Epoch allows this as well (Sponsor deciding to have the affiliate checks sent to himself instead of the affiliate). I do this with one Epoch sponsor and the sponsor combines a couple checks and sends me a wire

I had not seen it from that other angle yet. I am not worried in my case, but it is indeed strange that this is even possible, now that I think about it. I am sure many affiliates do not know about this when using a direct-ibill program as an affiliate.

I guess CCBill doesn't allow sponsors to re-route affiliate checks to themselves?

Although I hear excuse after excuse, I'll extend him the courteousy of making it right over the next couple of days -a few of us have worked with him for a couple of years and he does tend to be slow on many things - although it doesn't go over so well when it comes to payment.
I want to extend him the fairness he deserves, and I continue to give him the benefit of the doubt, while I still remain highly skeptical, while still leaving an opportunity to make it right. HOWEVER, If no CLEARED PAYMENT is received by Tuesday, 11:59 PM - on Wednesday posts will go up, about a day before most people leave for internext, and and 2 days before the show starts. The boards get a lot of attention then.

I ask you all to go along with this, and leave him one last opportunity. If nothing is received, I assure you the desired affect will still occur.

The minute you name the sponsor, you give him a reason not to pay you. I'll give him a couple more days, this isn't a small amount of money that I'm willing to kiss away just yet. He still picks up the phone which is a good sign I guess.. but with no money in my account - that doesn't mean shit. He's not entirely avoiding the issue and finally the road is coming to an end.

then it will black list him or they'll think twice in fucking webmasters around! I have know mercy for sponsors like this. it's called business and there falling under shady misguidings.. or fly-by-night biz..

sorry there so much scamming going on it frankly makes me ill. alot of sponsors open severalpaysite portals to only set up and shave/burn from..

and they know who they are forsure..

Sorry, the guy is fucking you over. If it was me, I would write it off, or take him to court and put out a warning to others. But I have heard this kind of thing happening alot lately.

I dont have a problem naming his name at all. I know he isnt going to pay. But in fairness to Biggy2's request not to mention his name and since this is his post I will respect that.

At least I know now that I am not the only one complaining about getting paid as he has told me on the phone, not that I am happy that others are getting screwed too but I am glad to see this come out in the open.

If nothing else I would like to see I-Bill take a stand and at least tell him to take down the webmaster affiliate sign up page stating this: Your "Rev-share" Checks will be issued and GUARANTEED by I-BILL" and also the link to the I-Bill revshare sign up page.

As for the individual sponsor, it won't be posted up right now, and I will have a thread dedicated to this at the right time, so If I am not paid, I can deal the biggest blow right before Internext. BTW, it isnt iBill's fault. They could get sued if they issued payouts to the revsharers directly and the sponsor advised them that they were making the payouts themselves. I'm just glad I only have a couple hundred bucks in rebills with that fucker. __________________

Third party processors exist to offer a service - often they do, sometimes they don't. The bottom line is - there is no way to go with a processor than downwards - usually at a cost to the client. They can only go bust, have technical problems or just forget about "service" - they have no redeeming factors to offer...... IT IS TIME PROCESSORS PLACED SECURITY DEPOSITS WITH A THIRD PARTY IN TRUST IN THE EVENT OF THEIR DEMISE/PROBLEMS. Hate em all.. tho there are some nice folks in that industry!

This is a company that has associations with Penthouse - not the most wonderful association to be proud of. Penthouse was a company that sat on it's fat ass for literally decades and watched the empire collapse. Even with any amount of reorganisation/cash injection/dumping of founders, there is no evidence of improvement... The odds are it can get worse with a management team who just "don't get it". iBill ain't going anyplace...

The last check I received was dated 4/28/04 and was sent by the website owner. A week later I received an e-mail from him saying that he had issued checks for the month of March , there was a miscommunication with I-Bill and they decided not to send out check or release funds to him so he paid out of pocket. All further checks would be issued by him and that he would be switching to a new cascade billing system soon. 1 1/2 months went by and no more payments from him or I-Bill so I began e-mailing him asking about payments but never any response. I have spoken with him at least 10 times in the past 2 months by phone and have been told the check went out Monday, sorry it will go out this Monday, I am writing checks now,call me back tomorrow, It should be there tomorrow,call me back,call me back. Then he finally agreed to paypal it to me which he still has not done. The problem that I have with I-Bill is this whole time I was calling and e-mailing them and getting the same run around from their reps and accounting. I was told by them that the webmaster had switched to have the payout sent to him and that I could request to close out the account and receive final payment which I did. Then I finally find out that that option is not an option since the webmaster has switched to having all payments sent to him.I signed up with this website through I-Bill and dont understand why they allow him to all of a sudden decide he wants all payments to go to him? But the real problem I have is to this day this website still has on his webmaster page that all checks will be issued and guaranteed by I-Bill. He still has the I-Bill sign up page and I-Bill is still accepting sign ups with webmasters under that impression that checks will be coming from them. The reps I spoke with didnt seem to care.

But in fairness to Biggy2's request not to mention his name and since this is his post I will respect that. At least I know now that I am not the only one complaining about getting paid as he has told me on the phone, not that I am happy that others are getting screwed too but I am glad to see this come out in the open. If nothing else I would like to see I-Bill take a stand and at least tell him to take down the webmaster affiliate sign up page stating this: Your "Rev-share" Checks will be issued and GUARANTEED by I-BILL" and also the link to the I-Bill revshare sign up page.
