He choose not to interfere with the verdicts of the juries who handed down the death sentences. He swore an owth to uphold Texas law. Texas law allows for the death penalty.

I personally HATE the death penalty and I think Texas is a backward state for executing so many people when there is not a single shred of evidence that shows it deters crime. It is also racist. However, I am not going to call someone a murderer for keeping the owth he swore when he was in office.

I would have no choice but to shoot someone who was pointing a gun at me. But that kid didn't have a gun. He was running away and kerry shot him. I wouldn't have done that.

I can honestly say, if I were in that sitation, i probably would have done the same thing as he did...

I remmeber a story my dad used to tell about a kid who was friendly with the troops and would often bring them food, etc. and seemed eager to help out, then one night walked into a hut were some soldiers were with explosives strapped to his chest and took a bunch out with him...this is the type of war they fought...
