I'm home, with thanks and appreciation to everyone
Well I'm home, moving a little slower, feeling a little weak, but so glad to be home and I pray to God that I never go through that again. I have never experienced anything so painful in my life. We've all heard a heart attack described as a tightening feeling in your chest. tightening my ass!! It's more like an anvil sitting on top of you! The pain is indescribable and it goes from your chest to your back, up your neck, into your jaw and then down your arm.
And no one tells you about phase 2 of the attack. While you are having all this pain, your body tries to help you get your blood pumping again, by causing you to violently throw up. As much as I appreciated my body trying to help, I really could have done without that. Anyway, I'm sitting here having my one daily allowed cup of real coffee,(it's a really big cup)absent-mindedly reaching for my cigarettes which are no longer there, and trying to find the words to express the thanks and gratitude to all of you. I'll probably have another heart attack when the bills start pouring in, but you all have made this a lot easier. The posts were printed out and brought to me and I cried as I read them. I don't think anyone could ask for a greater bunch of friends. I'll be getting back to work next week, though I do have to take it easy and rest alot. Hell, I'm not even allowed to drive yet. It feels really weird knowing that I've got 3 little pieces of metal tubing in me, but I'm sure as I begin feeling better, I'll forget about them. Again, thanks to all of you. You guys are the best and I love you all. (I'd show you how much, but I'm not allowed to have sex for at least 4 weeks.) Glad to see you're finally out of the hospital, Red. There's a history of heart attacks on my mother's side of the family (lost a grandfather & an aunt to it) so I feel for you.

Welcome back! I've had 4 heart attacks so I know what you mean about the pain. You will find that in the next week or so that you have more energy than you've had in quite awhile. Don't worry about the bills, hospitals will generally take any amount you send them, just as long as you send then something every month. Be sure to watch your diet and get lots of exercise. I walk to the store now to get my cigerettes instead of driving.

Now as much as I'd like to start telling you how happy I am for you that you are getting better again, everybody else did such a great job at that, that I would just be repeating what they said. Now what I want to know is are you gonna make it financialy? And if not what amounts are we looking at?(It's always easier to reach a goal when you know what you're trying to reach.) I want to help, and I'm sure most webmasters in here want to help too. I done the click thingy for ya but I doubt if the income from that will cover the bills. I'd like to make a donation but paypal doesn't work for me and I asked 3 times for bank info to send cash to but nobody mailed it to me([email protected]). Now I got an idea that I think would solve Red's problem in a flash: What would you all say if I put up a dialer, and every minute it generates goes to Red. I'd need that bank info to get you cash still though Tell me webmasters and mistresses would you all be willing to advertise a dialer for Red? and I realy mean ALL revenue will go to Red and knowing how much dialers can make I think that could wipe away those bills she's facing in a flash! To answer some of your questions, Lens - yes it does mean that I'm giving up smoking. There's not even any discussion about that. The two main factors that caused this were family history (on both sides) and smoking. My cholesterol and blood pressure are both very low so I can't even blame it on that. This was a wake-up call and a very painfull one that I have no desire to repeat. Jamdin - I wanted to thank you for the flowers, balloons and teddy bear. It was just the sweetest, and so are you baby. Boneprone - I understand I was made an honored member of the boneprone family. I'm touched. Redshoe - I've had my plane tickets and reservations for Vegas for a while now, so I'll be there. I won't be able to kick back with redbull and vodka, but I'll nurse one glass of wine all night. Snow - I'll be hitting the cardiac rehab center so my exercise can be monitored. Actually this is good since it will force me to do it. For the first month though I have to be very careful. I can't do anything more than short walks. I'm not supposed to do anything that will cause turbulence around the stents. Wolfshade - babe, I wish I could tell you an amount, but the bills haven't started to come in yet. I expect to be seeing them next week so I'll know more by then. Hornymaniac - I'm in my early/mid 40's. It's weird, since I've always been the "mom" in this community, but I was the YOUNGEST patient on the cardiac floor. I wish I could express to you how this outpouring of friendship and helpfulness has affected me. I need to come up with some way to thank all of you, but I don't know of anything that would adequately do that, so that's my first project to work on. I love you guys.
