Hi C**T.
Give SP Utilities a try. It does a lot more than just erase Internet records. It's pretty much a compendium of tools including a downloader, encrypter, shredder, popup blocker, private favourites, directory lister, cache viewer, and more... It gives a choice of classes of wipe - basic/fast to secure (1 - 35 pass)/slower. It plugs into Internet/Windows Explorer so uses v little resources. You can do a complete system wipe or just remove a single Internet session's records. Any problems with it you can mail me. I developed the software so I reckon I should be able to help. Cheers.

Window Washer is the business but it doesn't actually wipe the index.dat files, it merely removes the IE indexing references which can then be recovered by Directory Snoop. Also, password protecting WW can cause problems if you need to change the PW or remove it completely. Your choice of eraser really depends on who is going to be looking for the data on your machine.
