Update on Red
She didn't have an angioplasty done, like we thought she was going to have. She had 3 stents put in her right corrotted artery after having the surgery time changed 4 times on her today alone. She was so frustrated that she wanted me to sneak her out of the hospital and just come on home. Of course, it didn't help much that her nurse at the hospital they transferred her to 1) didn't know first-year nursing terminology, 2) has been a nurse for less than a year, and 3) brought us in a VCR and monitor to show us about the procedure, but the monitor had an "out of order" sign across the screen. Apparently he just didn't notice that one little problem. She was out cold for the night after the surgery, so I didn't get a chance to talk to her about it. Her doctor said that she should be able to come home early tomorrow afternoon, but the nurse on the floor they moved her to after surgery said that she would most likely have to stay there an additional day. That's about all I know so far, but will keep everyone updated as I learn more.

This sounds like good news.. Let her rest, and cheer her spirits tomorrow.. Hopefully the hardest part is behind ya now.. Keep her there as long as they say so they can do the proper tests and assure everything is flowing right with her new bionic heart

I just got off the phone with Red and the doctor has said that she will be released this afternoon at 3:00 PDT. I am sure that she will come on here this evening and say hello to everyone after she gets settled back in here. Of course, no sex for 3-6 weeks, but it will be SO nice to finally have her back home and in better shape. Thanks go to everyone for everything that you all have done (posts, flowers, phone calls, donations, etc.), but an especially big thanks is due to Tam. We love you, girl!

Defiant...... well you know what? Friends help friends and friends stick together.... and nothing I have done I did alone... all these great folks around here have been so good about everything...... and as I have told you at least 1000 times, you'd have done the exact same thing for me at any given time and you know it.
Just get that woman home and off that lazy little ass of hers....... she's had enough rest dammit.  The auction will be on Sunday the 20th of May at 8:00 Central time.... it was the best date we could get where everyone can be in the same place at the same time...... so everyone be ready for that one..... Who knows? Maybe the guest of honor can actually be present, that would be great. LOL Tam ------------------ May the Force Be With YOU!! |
