yes, that will be next problem, I still cannot access the domain, their told me, its on a new server, but now I cannot reach them, site throws 404 everytime I visit it and I cannot change it, cause I cannot login to the new server now. I use that domain for submitting, so this will be a fucking long story. And the worst is, it was no attack, it was just stupid fault!

Connect to the new server's IP and you'll be fine to upload your stuff, so it'll be online as soon as it starts to propagate (that is if your IP changed).

The link everyone is referring to is the top link for the previous day (which seems to have been removed now). It would have been much easier if the original poster had just linked straight to it, anyone who comes into this thread now has no hope of ever seeing it!...

A proper TGP doesn't ban people for having a down server... It's when a host supposively screwed up by redirecting part of the traffic to a page by the same owner, www.b-a-b-e-s.com/join.html. And this wasn't something I just saw on a report, it was something I saw myself after things were pointed out to me on this very board.

A bad hosting company might not be able to handle the traffic. That would result in a slow or non-loading page. Or it could lead to errors. Scripting problems may lead to errors. But never can a screwing up hosting company cause conditional redirects to another page. A 404 I can imagine, but that always loads, and the site had a 404 (believe me, I tried).

I know how server issues look. We've had 'em too in the past, everybody who has been on-line for a while had 'em in the past, I'm sure. What I saw on that page is not something that can be blamed on the host. Not with two lines of explanation anyway...

not the host? see the domain again, allnextdoor.com, still 404 for me, do you think I can do anything against it, fuck, no, Im bombarding my host with emails all the time, they are not able to solve it, do think I planned this after buying tons of spots from you? Please dont threat my that hard, you dont know how I feel now, you cannot even imagine, this is the worst day in my life, Im already tired of all the people who bash at me, fuck. Many people can tell you, that the domain was very slow, when the traffic started rolling in, so I asked my host to setup a new server for me and transfer the domain there. Thats the problem which all this caused. Go to AWI, I told it there before this all happened, I know many important people in this biz and they know Im a fair guy, and dont deserve to be threaten like this. Not as a pernament customer of you.
And BTW the pop-up hell is just pop-up from FPC traffic, since they like enter consoles more, I added their console on my 404 page, make me this to a devil? Im fucking tired of all the tgp-gods, they threat my like fuck after I spended thousands and thousand of dollars in their spots. I never compained about but service from them, even if it was shitty sometimes.

This can be blamed on the host, if the host lost his data. I lost folders before in fucks up and did not realize something was wrong until my 404 pages had the highest hit counts.

As for Andre, he is tops in my book. We have been doing business for ages, and I have no complaints. I even met with him in Bratislava a couple weeks ago.

I highly doubt that andrej_NDC did anything to cheat anyone.
We know him as a serious webmaster and I would list him any day on my sites.

Shit happens and there's nothing you can do about it if other people caused the shit.

I just want to add that Andrej is an applied webmaster and an honest person. It's quite obvious by now that he had some server issues, not a good enough reason to get him blacklisted.

I don't know andrej but I am inclined to side with him. I can't imagine that anyone who buys spots regularly (especially $$$ #1 thehun spots) would deliberately jeopardise his rep by temporarily sending to an exit broker who will give him a few hundred dollars MAX for that traffic.

If he's a repeat buyer then he's obviously a smart guy who knows how to consistently profit from these spots. Why would he shoot himself in the foot?

Consider this scenario.

1. The domain that he hosts his galleries on has htaccess set up to redirect 404's to the page you saw. Pretty standard stuff.

2. The hosting company has a HD failure and restores from an older backup where the gallery he submitted did NOT yet exist on the server.

3. The gallery URL is now 404, so it redirects.

Doesn't seem too implausible to me. If this is what happened then Andrej is certainly not at fault. Please give the guy a break.

well - buying gallery spot at freeloaders(bookmarkers) site - dont make good profit.

as i know - this guy from Bratislava - good guy who follow rules. sure - he dont have too much expirience as i see and can make mistakes with host etc.

btw, thehun, i have similar problem with one host some years ago - even much bigger problems - these fuckers just redirect ALL traffic from my sites to their own 404 with nice dialers and consoles, and their sites.

this company not exist anymore.

i dont care - does hun unban this guy or not - but thinking what he know all what can be possible - wrong.

so - if our lovely mrhun post what it cannot be - he just telling bullshit and his asslickers, as i feel, be follow and post same shit too.

tell us, mrhun, you have networking related MDA or you just think what you right because you hear this from someone?

Sure, that's 100% true. But that is not what happened here... When I clicked the link that was posted on the GFY I got the gallery as it was linked to when we reviewed the link. So I thought it could have been an error. I clicked back to the GFY and wanted to see the SAME PAGE again (to see if there were any hahahahahahahahahaha things or there), THIS time I didn't get the page, I was redirected to b-a-b-e-s.com/join.html. That's not a 404 scenario! That file was there the first time! And the second time it wasn't. Later I tried the same thing again, with the same results... So, the explanation of a normal 404 scenario didn't apply

Have you checked out that page? the one on b-a-b-e-s.com I mean, Hell, there's a loop of consoles that take over your machine. Don't forget that a shitload of people don't know ALT-F4 closes a window, but these windows maximize 'emselves so the regular way to close 'em is not an options. Those things piss me off to begin with. Anyone redirecting traffic there, even his 404 traffic (which wasn't the case 'cause the page I saw initially had a regular 404) doens't show too much respect for the surfer, which doesn't fit in with the policy we carry at The Hun's

It sounds more to me that there was something going on. Users were redirected to a page (since the free listings Andrej had at the hun's all came from [email protected] I know it's the same owner). My guess is that Andrej does run BS on surfers at some sites. The ONLY screwup I could think off is that the redirecting stuff was accidentally installed on the server used to submit to The Hun's... But if that's the case, why not say that right away? It's not a 404 issue, that's for sure...

I'm willing to take Andrej off the blacklist, but right now I don't see how this was an honest mistake that couldn't happen again some day in the future. In this case I found out after an hour. If 240K click the top link in a day then that's 10K in that our. If half of those got redirected I'm stuck with 5000 angry surfers than blame this on me for not checking the links correctly...

Dispite your arrogant tone and your 'brillian' first line of your post... I based this decision on what I saw with my own eyes.

And so far no harm is done 'cause it still seems we're in discussion over this thing...

the domain allnextdoor.com had a 404 sponsor page like all the other webmasters use, there is nothing bad about it. The pop-up hell you are talking about is just a simple entry pop-up from FPC traffic, these guys are fair in my book, and they also need to make money to pay out money to webmasters. When the host moved the domain to the new server, they moved also the .htacces file with the 404 error settings. The first I did when I woke up I was contacting the host again and again. I got this reply from one of the guys yesterday evening after tons of messages that allnextdoor works fine for a while and then go directly to 404 again:

"i move it to the old ip because datacenter not add ip 207.150.170.31-39 in them router and they can\'t to ping . When they add ip i will change it in DNS. "

Im not a server guy, so dont know exactly what problems this can cause, but you probably know it.

Your guess? You tell something like this, only because you guess it. Dont think I let you destroy my reputation. So all the people who know me, who I worked for cannot say anything bad about me, because I never broke 1 rule, and you guess? How would you feel, when I talk BS about you and have no facts to prove it?

And I had to deal with my members, BTW most of them cancelled their subscription within the 2-3 hours down time during the night.

I was polite each time I wrote to you. Do you remember one of my last #1 spots? You made me a totally inaccurate description and I got 30% of my usuall traffic on the #1 spot, and also untargetted, $500 investment was lost. BUT, wasnt I polite with you then? I was. Show me one guy who wouldnt be mad about this.

I'm not ruining anybody's reputation... I'm GUESSING... which is why I very carefully choose the word 'guess'... So, Andrej, no, I'm not telling everybody you're cheating, I'm just making up a perfectly rational explanation.

I have a degree in computer science. I do grasp the concept of a 404. What I saw on this page was NOT a 404. A 404 comes up every time a file is not found. It doesn't come up the second time you try to load a gallery.

I'm not accusing you of anything, like I said, I'm trying to come up with an explanation. It could also be you're with a crooked host. The only thing I know for sure is there was something redirecting people to www.b-a-b-e-s.com/join.html, a site packed with consoles. That page was NOT a 404...

I stay polite Andrej, I don't call you names and as I mentioned in my last post, we're still talking and figuring out what is going on. But no one will be able to convince me this was a 404 issue... it wasn't. We're still in a discussion about this thing. Talk to some people on this board, 12 clicks for instance, he got totally frustrated with the fact he couldn't get me angry. I stay polite, that always leaves all options over for the future. Sometimes it's tough, but it got me where I am today. So... now that we know we're both still polite, what was going on with that gallery? 'cause it wasn't a 404 problem (see the descriptions on what people saw in the first few posts of this thread)

man, to be honest, I have no clue about how to run a server, how to fix problems, etc...I told only about what I saw, I waked up, clicked the link and saw my 404 page, the page on b-a-b-e-s.com is my 404 page for 2-3 years already. The problem started when all my domains on the host(10+) were down in the night for 2-3 hours, I lost almost all my members on the paysites, they cancelled. If you check AWI, you will see, that the people told me, that my server is very slow, I told them this is because your listing and my host is already working on a new server. I told my host to transfer the domain allnextdoor.com to the new server, so the paysites are faster and also the gallery. I discussed the gallery with Andre from dieselaction and told him before I went to bed, that the gallery is doing great so far. Then when I awaked, I got an email from the host, that the gallery is already on the new server, I tried to load that domain and got my 404 page everytime. Whatever URL I tried, none worked, I wanted to change the .htaccess file and delete the 404 and 403 error page which leads directly to the b-a-b-e-s.com domain. I spent a lot time, till I found out the login info for the new server and uploaded a new htaccess without any error pages, a friend told me to write there something like rewrite engine off. It didnt worked, so I contacted my host again and again, that a 404 page comes up everytime, they told me each time, the domain load fine for them , they dont see any problems. And in the evening I wrote them again and another guy from support was there and I got this email from him:

"i move it to the old ip because datacenter not add ip 207.150.170.31-39 in them router and they can't to ping . When they add ip i will change it in DNS."

I dont know it this affected it, honestly, but its the only explanation I got. Im sorry for your surfers but I also lost members, members who are paying for memberships and I had to explain it to them and accept that they have the right to cancel. A new host is already setuping a server for me, so Im moving all my staff away and hope I never have similar problems with the new host, now I need to start from the beginning again.

Well, that DNS change could explain why there was sometimes a gallery (from the old server with correct files) and sometimes you got a 404 page from the "new" server with bad transfered files.
The host fucked up this thing really badly.

It's not my place to get involved in this issue. I have no opinion, I'm not taking any one side and I was reading this thread only for amusement sake.

However, if it were a DNS propogation issue that would only cause some people to see one page and other people to see another. It would not explain why the same person would click once and get one page then click again and get a completely different page.

This is shit. Andrej is a good guy and he will never risk his reputation for few bucks from redirection surfers...

This is simple idea and everyone should understand it, without writing that soap operas above...

No one would buy #1 spot on thehun to redirects surfers and get bann. Think about it...

i think that hosting took backup copy of Andrej's websites from previous day and duplicated it on the new server.
And in that copy wasn't included new gallery posted on thehun.net.
so, if somebody was redirected it was becouse of missing that gallery on the new server, but it was ok on the old one.
I'm curious in hosting explanation.
I know that Andrej is a straight guy, and if he bought paid spot he will not redirect traffic like idiot and got caught by hun's spider after few minutes.. there is no logic
