WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The United States on Sunday raised the terrorism threat level to code orange (high) for the financial services sector of New York City, northern New Jersey and Washington, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge announced.

Ridge cited "new and unusually specific information about where al Qaeda would like to attack."

The nation's threat level remains at category yellow (elevated).

New York has remained at orange since the September 11, 2001, attacks.

The potential targets include the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington, Prudential Financial in northern New Jersey and the Citigroup Building and New York Stock Exchange in New York, Ridge said.

well, sadly enough no. 3 pm is the usual time i get up. i'm just getting a little annoyed with all this crying wolf. if they've got all this "credible chatter", maybe they should put it to use catching people, not scaring the american public.
