mpeg vs wmv for galleries
Is the preference still mpeg for movie galleries?
Seems odd though that some people want to only use mpegs on galleries, but the sponsor they are pushing has trailers that are only all in wmv format |

both are used often..just stay away from avi and formats wich require additional codecs like divx, xvid

MPEGs just aren't very efficient and waste more bandwidth then you need too.. I prefer WMV.

for wmv do you encode them in WindowsMedia 7,8, or 9 format?
Also if the video is encoded in 7 but the audio is in 9 does the surfer need to upgrade to 9 to hear the audio? |
