Congrats! Parenting is one of the most beautiful things in the world. It is also the most trying emotionally and heartbreaking at the same time. You life ceases to be about you and centers completely on someone else. The years fly by and they grow up and instead of looking back and thinking about all the things you could have done...you look back and wish you could do it all over again.

Thats BS.. Are we talking about Hollywood kids? if you pay for the child t'ill he is 20 spending $1 million... thats $50,000 a year... Tons of people raises kids with minimal incomes .. and do well..

It is proven, you just dont understand yet.

angeleyes 08-01-2004 11:10 AM

and I wondered why I was blowing chunks 24/7 for the last week. :helpme The one thing I'm worried about is that I was put under a general and on oxycodone for a week after I had the oral surgery. I had no clue I was "in the family way" as we use BC.

EviLGuY 08-01-2004 11:17 AM

lol.. please.. I just proven you otherwise... Do you even know the % of the population that can pay $50,000 year for a 1 kid? $100,000 for 2 kids? Guess a %....

Joesho 08-01-2004 11:21 AM

I think 6, she keeps having them artificially and they come out in groups, so it is hard to keep up

I'm not a doctor, but I had surgery while pregnant and my son came out just fine. :)

Ask your OB/GYN at your first exam. He/She will be able to put your fears to rest. :)

Congrats again. :glugglug

Do you have kids? I'll assume not.

The national US statistic for high income families per child annually for the year 2005 is $16,000. If you are wealthy it goes to 3 times that.

And that only counts direct expenses, when you factor in the value of your time dedicated to raising of the child it goes even higher.

Christ you can spend $1,000 a month just buying toys and related entertainment things.

Right there you've got $12k a year just on that alone.
