				Check out the NEW JVC Digital Camcorder

			It's so fuckin small..

	43 mm (1.69") - width 115 mm (4.53") - height 80 mm (3.16") - length I've narrowed my search down to either this one or the Sony PC-5. Both are small, compact and 'spensive. Anyone have either of the two or both?? |

		 Looks like the JVC uses AA or something batteries which would die quick. The sony has the reg vidcam bat on it so it would last longer, especially if you got some extra large capacity ones.

		 hows the quality in these smaller units compared to the larger ones? I was looking for a nice small mini DV, but was worried about quality vs. My digital 8.

		 lol - Although I do like the most expensive one's, they're not always the best for the money.

	Boneprone - Digital 8 records with 460k pixel resolution. (on the average) Mini DV has 680k. The same way that digital 8 was so much better than reg 8mm, it's that way with miniDV and then some. Anyway, Best Buy has the JVC-DVP3U for $1499.00 I think. Way too much..probably buy it online. Here's some more shots of the JVC.. and another.. |

		 Gemini - It uses a Lithium Ion rechargable battery pack. I agree that if it DID use reg batteries, it would suck shit.

	But..since we're talking about big boy's toys that don't uses regular batteries (like your cheap cell phone. ), wanna join the club and leap into the big boy's world?Might I suggest a new cell phone? Click here hehe..just messing with cha.. [This message has been edited by stangster (edited 05-06-2001).] |

		 The batteries are my department so I'll chime in. When the battery dies..( as all battery packs do ) where do you get another one? RadioShack? how much does the pack cost? I've seen them up to $90 for a new battery pack. I don't like rechargeable "AA"s any better but NMh "AAs" are pretty good and cheaper than the Li-ION battery pack. Any other accessories you may need or need to replace? Are they available or do you have to special order that little pin that the Cam won't work without that the dog ate from Japan for $2000? 8mm vs SVHS;

	8mm can't be popped into an adapter cassette and played on your TV..It must be run thru a vcr first with A/V cables. SVHS can be played with an adapter tho right in your VCR. 8mm is easier to record on to a new tape than SVHS. There are lots of pros and cons but the bottom line is..which one costs more after you pay the initial $$$$ Just my little 2 cents worth ------------------ PerfectPanties.com |
