I did too, but ya never know. I've installed freeBSD from 3.x and up and they all had top in them. But then again maybe he installed a bare bones OS. I dunno.

I'm a Freebsd user, but linux is proving to be "faster" for many common server applications (apache, mysql)

I doubt it's as stable or well developed though
