PPS or Revshare or both?
Do you think one is better than the other or do you offer both to affiliate that promote you?
Please discuss pros and cons of each....

Program owners response mostly but hearing what affiliates like more isn't bad either

I do a bit of both, I'm kind of moving more towards PPS now as the recurring sponsors I am using as of late have not been fantastic in regards to keeping them recurring.

We offer both PPS and Revshare at Pornkings. For me speaking as an affiliate, I prefer Revshare over PPS. The reason I like RevShare is that the opportunity of rebills usually pays out more than an initial PPS sale. It gives me the flexibility to chose how I want the payout to be. The rebills I usually experience are avg 3-6 months per signup and that is larger than a $30 payout. Just my
![]() Now from a sponser standpoint I feel that the offering of a flexible payout system will help draw and keep affiliates. If one system is not working then another one can be selected.

Both.
A program with high retention is great for months of income...Especially when you make 15-20 dollars each month for the life of the member. I have a few GREAT revshare sites that I promote that make me a few grand per month JUST in rebills. As long as the processor stays afloat, the trend should continue for quite some time. As far as PPS... It's great if you have a site that converts high and pays on trials. This is a great option when the site is plugin /upsell heavy without much exclusive content. I've been making a killing with PPS programs. I've mixed 4 days of PPS with 3 days of revshare per week and so far it's a great balance. ![]() |

I think offering both is ideal. It's difficult to conclusively say one is better than the other because much of that decision making has to do with the site that's being promoted and the affiliate's preference and/or lifestyle.
For quick cash and lots of it upfront PPS is the way to go. And it's hard to argue against this preference. Once you have your money in your hand that's always a good thing and you don't wait over a period of time for recurrings to kick in. Recurring is better suited to affiliates that are willing or able to wait to reap the greater cash rewards of recurring members. Both models have their potential pitfalls so it's really an affiliate's discretion as to which to choose. |

I prefer sponsors who offer both. I like to keep a mix. PPS for short term benifits while the Revshare grows.

PPS and Revshare along with ppc are all valid revenue streams. I say it depends on the program. I would start with pps and the go to revshare once you know how to pick and promote a program. Because if people are not going to sign up for the program you wont do well. So that's my advice hope it helps someone.

What's a PPS?
![]() From an affiliate standpoint, I like to mix it up. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Go for some PPS sponsors for the faster money and go with sites that are hot and you know will retain for some long revshare money. In the long run, of course, a good rev share sponsor will make you more money than a PPS. From a program owner standpoint, I believe that strong rev share site are the way to go and offer up private PPS deals to webmasters who have proven themselves able to generate significant sign-ups. |

PPS for all large programs
Revshare for unsaturated, full price join, microniche sites. You will make up to two times as much as PPS. |

But, All I know is basically, what you DON'T know. Not sure what business I have to do with you, unless you want to sell me your traffic at a discount rate and watch me make 10x more than you did with it. |
