only thing that has me scared is that right now Bush has more electoral votes

I hope it doesn't come down to the electoral college electing him again and Kerry getting the popular vote

I'm encouraged that a lot of the states bush won in 2000 are now up for grabs..too close to call..like Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Tennessee.

And NO INCUMBENT that was BEHIND at this point of the campaign has ever won re-election! I hope that trends continues!

Speaking of Carter's speech, I like it how he talked about bringing down the Soviet Union. Couldn't have done it without him!!!

Ignorant. I hope a speech writer gets fired.

Dam To bad Clinton did not run, after hearing his speech bush looks like a monkey.

He really pushed Kerry a ton he seemed more convincing then when he ran for himself - Clinton was pumped.

How can I possibly argue with you. Jimmy Carter and his funny ways of building homes for poor people is obvously an idiot, and Ronnie gave the best lines a cue card could provide!
Reagan has to be the greatest Prez ever!

I love him so much.

Why doesn't he just divorce Hillary and marry me?? I would devote my whole life to waiting on him hand and foot, and fulfilling his every need.

Jimmy Carter rocked, too. I can't think of any 2 people that I would rather hear speak more than those guys.

BAD DOG..bad dog! I'm going to go get a rolled up newspaper!

Actually, there are a lot of signs pointing to Bush being in trouble, but it is early and lots of things could go wrong, or right for Bush or Kerry.

If this was mid October..I would think Bush would be packing his bags..but it's not. We shall see as times goes by.

But you would have to agree that Clinton gave one fine speech in which he took Bush apart..and as one commentator put it, "without seeming mean"..which is no small feat in politics!

any decent public speaker should be able to tear someone apart without seeming mean . . . . hell, I do it all the time here on GFY

again, a Democrat sounding good in a room of Democrats is no huge feat . . . and I like Clinton . . . always have

one thing that clinton did with bush sr. is he called him out during the debates. I remember when he turned to bush and asked him " it hasn't worked. Isn't it time for a change?" and bush just stood there with a dumb look on his face.

gore never called bush jr out on his poor record in texas and half the time during the debats he agreed with bush. I think if Kerry actually confronts bush it will do a lot to help him out.

Once the republicans have their convention then the real campaigning begins.

Clinton is such a great speaker. Always was able to get me all worked up.

After the convention, we watched a show we had Tivoed about John Kerry's protests after the war and his connection to Ted Kennedy. Some of his speeches made me cry. I've got high hopes for Kerry's speech later this week. I hope that he's going to blow Clinton's away.
