Bill Clinton's Speech Tonite

Damn..he's still got fire in his belly and knows how to deliver a fantastic speech! (Not to mention how well he knocked the crap of Bush in the short time he had!)

Damn..BUSH HAS TO GO! :thumbsup

Mr. Mojo Risin 07-26-2004 08:31 PM

yep he was great

I though Jimmy Carter gave a great speech too

Centurion 07-26-2004 08:32 PM

Carter did..as did Gore & Hillary!
I think the convention has gotten off to an excellent start.

If I were Bush..I'd be WORRIED right now!

Mr. Mojo Risin 07-26-2004 08:32 PM

which are you Bush a war time president or a peace president? whatever the polls favor...

we need a leader that doesn't mislead

only thing that has me scared is that right now Bush has more electoral votes :(

I hope it doesn't come down to the electoral college electing him again and Kerry getting the popular vote

I'm encouraged that a lot of the states bush won in 2000 are now up for grabs..too close to call..like Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Tennessee.

And NO INCUMBENT that was BEHIND at this point of the campaign has ever won re-election! I hope that trends continues!

crockett 07-26-2004 08:36 PM

scoobydookc 07-26-2004 08:37 PM

Speaking of Carter's speech, I like it how he talked about bringing down the Soviet Union. Couldn't have done it without him!!!

Ignorant. I hope a speech writer gets fired.

Bell 07-26-2004 08:37 PM

I glanced... for a view of the tie...

Leno's spoofing the sh*t out of them right now...

One example of how Carter contributed to that would be greatly appreciated. I would gladly rescind my comments.

Don't you just miss the days when we weren't being harrassed to death as adult webmasters?

I'll take Clinton over Bush anyday, and Reno over Asshead.

Dam To bad Clinton did not run, after hearing his speech bush looks like a monkey.

He really pushed Kerry a ton he seemed more convincing then when he ran for himself - Clinton was pumped.

How can I possibly argue with you. Jimmy Carter and his funny ways of building homes for poor people is obvously an idiot, and Ronnie gave the best lines a cue card could provide!
Reagan has to be the greatest Prez ever!

Yeah I judge a President by what he does out of office rather than while he's President! :)

Holly 07-26-2004 11:57 PM

I love him so much.

Why doesn't he just divorce Hillary and marry me?? I would devote my whole life to waiting on him hand and foot, and fulfilling his every need.

Jimmy Carter rocked, too. I can't think of any 2 people that I would rather hear speak more than those guys.

why? because a few Democrats, at a Democratic function are bad-mouthing him?

If Bill could run again I would agree, but as they say, talk is cheap.

I knew without looking that you had to be from somewhere else . . . do yourself a favor, stay out of our political discussions, it only makes you look dumb :2 cents:

BAD DOG..bad dog! I'm going to go get a rolled up newspaper!

Actually, there are a lot of signs pointing to Bush being in trouble, but it is early and lots of things could go wrong, or right for Bush or Kerry.

If this was mid October..I would think Bush would be packing his bags..but it's not. We shall see as times goes by.

But you would have to agree that Clinton gave one fine speech in which he took Bush apart..and as one commentator put it, "without seeming mean"..which is no small feat in politics!

any decent public speaker should be able to tear someone apart without seeming mean . . . . hell, I do it all the time here on GFY :1orglaugh

again, a Democrat sounding good in a room of Democrats is no huge feat . . . and I like Clinton . . . always have

kane 07-27-2004 02:03 AM

one thing that clinton did with bush sr. is he called him out during the debates. I remember when he turned to bush and asked him " it hasn't worked. Isn't it time for a change?" and bush just stood there with a dumb look on his face.

gore never called bush jr out on his poor record in texas and half the time during the debats he agreed with bush. I think if Kerry actually confronts bush it will do a lot to help him out.

Once the republicans have their convention then the real campaigning begins.

Check out Cpan's website. I would think that they would have it archived there. Haven't been there, so don't know for sure, but worth a shot.

... 07-27-2004 03:48 AM

Does anybody know when the presidential debates take place?

Let us not forget that the Soviets lost the Cold War because the American people combined the exercise of power with adherence to basic principles, based on sustained bipartisan support.

I don't read that as him taking credit.

bill clinton -- greatest president of hte past 50 years -- nuff said

SleazeQueen 07-27-2004 01:07 PM

Clinton is such a great speaker. Always was able to get me all worked up. :)

After the convention, we watched a show we had Tivoed about John Kerry's protests after the war and his connection to Ted Kennedy. Some of his speeches made me cry. I've got high hopes for Kerry's speech later this week. I hope that he's going to blow Clinton's away.

axelcat 07-27-2004 01:11 PM

Clinton is one of the greatest presidents, I liked his mentality while in office:thumbsup
