All the mac idiots will say this is better and that is better...well blah blah blah, if you want to work normally and be able to run every day programs then buy a pc. Period. If you want to be an alternative hippie then buy a mac.

Mac all the way! Macs never crash! You don't have to worry about viruses or spyware/adware.

Good Luck Tina2...
On finding a Mac or PC without Pixels issues...

I went thru 3 IBM t42's in one week with dead pixels and then went to the Apple store and was ready to buy a g4 15'' thinking they would be better quality, opened the box in the store, turned it on and lo and behold an always on pixel! It's not my bad luck (that I have 2-lol), its shitty quality control!

Whatever machine you buy, check for pixel issues, because most of the time, the warranties say they will ONLY replace the screen with 5-10 dead or partially lit pixels.

This is a stupid comment IMO. You relize why you don't have to worry about that stuff, right? Because macs suck, noone uses them. I'm sure if someone picked apart a mac they would find way more holes than in windows.

I've used both. I personally like the MAC better for Graphic Design and Publication Layout, but my PC works fine for everything else that I do.

All the pc idiots will say this is better and that is better.. well blah blah blah, if you want to work, without getting distracted by thousands of viruses and system fuckups and be able to run every day programs (which all started on the mac, btw) then buy a mac. Period. If you want to be an idiot that goes with the flow then buy a pc.

Think different!

Is a Mac still the best graphics machine? I like Windows because there's so much more software available for it, but I'd definitely have a Mac.

That has got to be the most stupid comment ever. give me a break. Mac OS X is based on fucking strong UNIX technology, even if you find a hole you could never make it automatically spread across machines all around the world.

I stick with the PC if you know what you are doing you don't have to worry about the virus problem. That said why would you want to use a machine that people don't even bother making a virus for?

Most design applications run on a PC platform, and cost much cheaper also.
