you trying to protect a Bently or something?
just get a nice car alarm that has a paging system. When someones touches your car, it tells you on the pager what part they touched. If they break in, it tells you that also. |

Car alarms are a joke around here; no one bothers to look when one goes off.
However, an Engineering professor at the college where I attend classes had an interesting idea...and it works. Somehow or other, he wired up the doors of his car to electrify when the car doors were locked. I can't remember how much of a jolt he used, but I do know that while it wasn't a dangerous amount, it was enough to make someone think twice about touching the car. He still has it that way, as far as I know, because he has a little sign in both the driver's side and passenger's side windows proclaiming the car to be "electrified - please do not touch." |

A tire boot like the cops use.
Car alarms are just a noise nuisance. Some cities have them banned.. I just lock my doors, seems to work, lol |

Get the "Unbrakeable AutoLock". It attaches to your brake pedal, which is made of steel not aluminum like the steering wheel.
I had seen the TV infomercials, but they were so hokey, I thought the product was a joke. But then one day I watched some program about car theft on Discovery Channel (I think). An ex-professional car thief said the Autolock was the only device (unlike Club and car alarms) that, though not beatable, would cause him to pass on that car and move to the next one. And it was what he used to protect his own car. So the next day after seeing that program I ditched my Club and bought an Autolock. If only they didn't make such stupid infomercials, I might've bought one earlier and not wasted my money on the Club. |

a kill switch . . . costs about a quarter, takes about 10 minutes to install, and no one is going to start that car . . . impossible, unless you don't hide the switch good enough

I saw this infomercial once, for this thing called the autolock. Put it on your brake (if automatic) or clutch if its manual. If you've got a manual, get one for the clutch and the brake. I tend to not buy shit from infomercials, but they shot it with a rifle and it didnt break, the shot the club and it disintigrated.
