Has anyone ever killed a song on you?

just when you really like a song someone does something during it that will make you remember that moment every time that damn song plays. from someones bad karaoke, to a crappy breakup....etc....

what songs have people ruined on you?

Sometimes when an artist sells a song off to a TV commercial, it annoys me to hear the real song on the radio after that. All you can think of is the product in the ad.

Listening to lots of internet radio, I hear a lot of songs I like months before anyone has heard of the band. Sometimes they then start getting thrown at the MTV generation and overplayed on the radio...so then I usually get turned off to them.

OMG

It has to be Ice Cream Man by Van Halen. In highschool, this total idiot who was stalking me stood in the alley under my window. He had his buddy, who THOUGHT he could play guitar with him. His buddy played "music" while this guy "sang" that song to me. I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself. Now I can't hear that song without thinking of that dilbert.

It was some cheesey slow song by All4One. I have no clue what the title is anymore, but it makes me want to puke when I hear it.

"Stairway to Heaven" -everytime i hear that song, i think of my old high school teacher talking about it saying "That song was over-played the day it came out!"

"Lust For Life" - Iggy Pop , killed by commercials mostly by Royal Caribbean
"Train In Vain"- the Clash , ex BF played on Ans. Machine and said "THAT"S YOU!"
"20th Century Boy"- T-Rex , killed by the movie "Velvet Goldmine" when Christian Bale dances a poor seduction dance in bad makeup trollin for cock
The White Stripes- killed by MTV

I'm sure there's more- but that's what comes to my mind right away...

Horrible break up in the middle of happy reggae music.
