Who's the most secure registrar?
With all this BS about the turkish d00d stealing domains, would it be fair to say that your site's registration security lies in the hands of your registrar?
I use Domainnamesystems and it's password protected, but how secure is that? Are any of these password systems safer then NSI and their email confirmation setup? |

Most registrars nowdays (but not NetSol) use secure pages (SSL) for the logging in and managing of your domain(s). I consider this a lot safer than email transactions.
NetSol provides an encrypted passwd + mail system, but at least one email is sent with the passwd in plain text. Not particularly secure I think. [This message has been edited by Lord Assmore (edited 04-20-2001).] |
