Can someone explain in simple terms hoow CCBill comes up with there numbers???

God knows there Support had no clue. 5 phone calls, 3 different people, 2 weeks. You would think ONE of those calls would have resulted in a straight answer of some kind. Something other than, "I'm pretty sure.", "I think.", or "I'm almost positive." would be a welcome thing.

So here is my question(s)...

WHEN do the processing fees come out? Is it from the total sales for the day or week? And do they first do the partner split or do they take the processing fee from the total sales, then the holdback, then do the partner payout?

Also, when does the week REALLY end? Is it Saturday or Sunday at midnight?

Thanks,
Bill

Oh yeah, this is for site/program owners, not affiliates.

Unable to see how the accounting works on their end. Here is what I have gathered.
Processing fees come out of every sale as they are processed. You can tell this by looking at the gross and net in the webmaster admin. So I would say they are done real time.
Second question is a little more difficult as it depends on how an affiliate program is set up.
If fee's are split it would not matter when they take them out, both get half of the fee removed.
If fee's are eaten by the affiliate program then the fee comes out of the affiliates end after the payout was split.
I do believe the hold is then taken out of the payouts then, after all fee's have been taken care of.
The week starts on sunday at midnight ( I presume ccbills timezone). Thus it would end at 11:59pm saturday (ccbills time zone).

I do believe the hold is then taken out of the payouts then,

I think the hold is calculated on the gross figure before any deductions - Likewise with their normal % take
ie - X sales for the week -
10 X partner sales at 50% - XX
ccbill's fee - 11% from X
Holdback - 10% from X

What is left, is yours - (Minus cb/ret/)

Thank you all for your input. Although the formulas make sense, the numbers still don't add up right using the numbers in my control panel.

Thanks guys!

Huh? I don't see a column where they are taking out the percentage. What I see is a gross and net (gross minus refunds/chargebacks/affiliate payout) And at the end of the colum is the net...However, when you look at check amounts, you'll see the net total that was listed and how much ccbill took out of the check. So I think that they do it at the end of the week.

They say they do it per transaction though in real time, and total it daily. I looked at my week's end total, and it's different than if you add up the daily total. So the question I asked to them was, well, why? No one could explain it, just a bunch of I think so's and I'm pretty sures. I was told the weekly number will not match the sum of THERE daily numbers. I asked why. No one could answer that either.

So my next question was how much am I losing on I don't knows and I'm not sures. So far it's a few hundred dollars over the past 6 weeks.

Call your sales rep.... If you dont have one call 1-888-906-0666 and ask for Jeff Knight. He is the head of sales and we will place you with one. Sean E and Andy are great.

If you are asking for tech support to help you figure out the numbers you are wasting your time. They are tech people not accounting people. Your sales rep can tell you exactly how the fee's break down. Its pretty simple and I can assure you... you are not losing money.

You can also hit up Corvett over there. Asking people on here with give you 1000 different answers and you will be more confused then you are allready.

Get a sales rep... dont ask support about accounting questions. Call accounting, your sales rep (after you get one) and then Mark (Corvett).

I know more about ccbill support then 80% of those clowns they have running the phones now over there. And that aint saying much.

However, ccbill is great and I highly doubt they are causing you any loss of money.

Apparently you haven't been looking through the webman page enough

The week ends at midnight of Saturday to Sunday according to the CCBill timezone.

Next:

Summary for 2004-06-27, webmaster 000000:

Gross income from checks $0
Gross income from credit cards $0
----------------------------------------------
Total gross income $0

----------------------------------------------
Subtotal (gross income - returned) : $0

Total CCBill fee (14.50%) $0
Partner's portion of CCBill fee $0
----------------------------------------------
CCBill fee (14.50%) $0
6 month holdback (5%) $
Holdback returned from 6 months ago $0
----------------------------------------------
Subtotal (income - returned - fees + holdback + reconciles) $0

Total partner payouts: $0

----------------------------------------------
Net profit $0
----------------------------------------------

THIS is how it shows up when you go to CHECK AMOUNTS, select a period, check the column DOWNLOAD, and click on the word EMAIL. You'll get it all broken down like this. Exactly in that order. I guess that answers all your questions

BTW: it doesn't really matter if the processing fee's are calculated per day or per payment period.....it's a PERCENTAGE. So it doesn't matter.

I've gone over that report 100 times. The numbers there do NOT match the cjeck amounts, that's what I'm saying. If the net profit (after all expense and partner payouts) in that screen/report said "$xxx.xx", you would expect to see a check for that amount, right?

How BIG is the difference? Those net amounts ARE exactly the check amounts I get.

Then I get charged a little for the wire, and that it.

Over the course of 6 weeks, there is a few hundred dollar difference. When we asked why, we were told, "It will all work out in the end."...lol The wire fee is only $15/week, I'm talking about the actual check amount shown compared to the amount deposited in the wire.
