If I want speed I go for IE. If I feel l33t I use Firefox.

rule #2 spend some money on lavasoft adaware. it works great EXORCISING the devil from your computer

rule #3 if you are a webmaster learn not to fall on other peoples traps.

i have never been hit by a virus had a computer hacked or hijacked or anything.

I like IE. Its fast, I like its feel and function.

Combined with google toolbar its a pretty good combo. I only had one major spyware incident in the last couple years and fixed it quick.

rule #1 with windows alwasy stay up to date. it is simple and automatic. same with anti virus

if you run adult sites and non adult and check logs you will see that it is still around 2% lets not kid ourselves.

#2. I say no to all popups. Hence why I installed the google toolbar which caught ALL for a while until people found ways around them.

#3. I have Adaware, Hijack this and Spybot Search and Destroy. Any other suggestions?? Oh ya... I also have Norton running 24-7.

#4. I don't "fall" for traps. Sometimes people decide to take once reputable sites and fuck with them for a quick buck. Also, sometimes it's possible to misspell a domain and get slammed by popups, autoinstalls, viruses, etc.

#5. Good for you. Run some other spyware programd on top of Ad Aware. You just may find a few surprises. If not, consideryourself in the 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001% of all internet users who can say the same thing.

Going through my own public 3rd party and private stats, I see an average of 87.3% "Captian all knowing". :glugglug

spybot search and destroy is not impressive and it is free. your third party stats are also free?

Mozilla Firefox is a delightful browser. By FAR my preferred choice.

I was forced to use mozilla/konqueror for the past week, and I'm glad to get rid of it, it was slow as shit and it pissed me the fuck off... I'm willing to get viruses. spyware, malware, whatever... just don't make me use mozilla again :mad:

IE runs faster for me, and I got used to the way it scrolls... I don;t like the way other browsers scroll

i'm not a fan of firefox... ie6 seems to be much faster loading up pages as well...

i'm too lazy to download new browsers, IE works just fine for me
- no popups,
- no stolen homepage
- i have customized top menu they way i need it
- its fast
