Making own content - which camera I should use?
I want to make own conent for my side in future. I have gilrs, a professional photographer and a studio. I just ask myself what's better - to use a professional camera (like Minolta Dynax etc) and make quality scans of the pictures or use a digital camera directly? Can anybody recommand digital cameras for the professional usage?

Kodak has some great digital cameras, both for home use as well as professional use. Check out this url http://www.kodak.com/cgi-bin/webCata...igital+Cameras - And near the bottom of the page you can see their professional line of digital cameras as well as sample pictures from each of them, so you can decide the quality for yourself.
I have a Kodak DC240 myself, and i love it. It takes great pictures. I hope that helps you out. |

Good Question facecreamer,
I shoot with a Nikon F5, and a Bronica ETRsi. I'm a hardcore amatuer photographer. ![]() I definately need to start making money with those cameras, maybe it's time to start shooting nudies. Does anyone live in the LA area, and want to maybe meet and discuss this further? Send me an email. We can talk about profitability, and such. ------------------ [email protected] LeeannOnline.com ICQ # 114683191 |

Might consider the fact that no matter the quality etc of the digi, they still haven't gotten to the level of quality a true 35 has
Even the cheaper 35's will outshoot the best digi cams. For now. but they are working on it! |

Gemini,
I used to do a little side work for a photographer. He turned me on to Nikon, and Bronica. At the time, (a few years ago) he had a Nikon F5 converted to Digital. You could only have it done by Nikon. They added a digital back or something. This camera was a fucking monster. I saw some portraits he had done with it. They were blown up to about 48" tall, and I swear it looked like the people were standing behind the wall that the photo was hung on. Almost like you were looking thru a window instead of a photo. He said the full system cost him close to 60k. 30 for the camera, and 30 for the computer system. That sounds like a lot, but he made that money back in no time. If you have 60k, then go for it. I tend to agree with you Gem, digi (at a non-pro level) still looks like digi to me. ![]() Hey Wizzo, do you scan your own slides, or do you have an outside company do it? I shoot primarily Tri-X, and Ilford 3200, but most of my photos are for my own personal artwork. TriX for it's sharp tight grain and contrast, and I use 3200 for it's loose, grainy, gritty, dirty look. ------------------ [email protected] LeeannOnline.com ICQ # 114683191 |

Also, does Lensman shoot all your photos? Is that how he got his name?

60k whoo hoo?! A new house just about!!
I'm betting Lens got his moniker from using a telescope to watch the shoots while they happened. So the girls saw this round lens with an big eye blinking behind it! ![]() |
