this would be a fun argument. since, i graduated with an economics degree, i do believe that too often racism is an economical situation. plus, it makes people "happy" to say poor vs rich rather than black vs white.

oddly, enough i would probably agree with slick. i dont think he said it in these words. but, the basic story is that a cop shot a suspect, and he died. that should be the story. but, the media and groups such as the naacp just feed off material like this. what better propaganda than an "innocent" black man being shot by "trigger happy" white cops.

i think black america needs to wake up. there are much worse things that effect them than someone being shot. i would focus on economics, education, teen pregnancy, aids, and drugs. i dont want to be calledgrand wizard of the klu klux klan for spouting off factual statistics. so, i wont. but, go look in your almanac or on the web. they are quiet staggering and after spending almost a year researching the subjects and how they relate to public education, it is quiet sickening.

just as a side note to add more fuel to the fire. does anyone watch mtv's road rules vs real world challenge? basically, its a bunch of kids put together to compete on missions(ie obstacle courses, etc..) against each other. the story is this...there was a guy from norway. he knew little of american culture. well, one day he walks into the bus and starts to tell a joke. he says ****** in the joke. he was telling this to a group of people, and one of the black girls on the show attacked him physically. even after a few days went by, she said she would of done the same thing. why? is she a violent person? i hope not. but, i felt she was programmed to react in a violent way in an attempt to stand up for the color of her skin. the story gets even worse. the norwegian didnt understand why she attacked him. others then proceeded to tell him that saying the "n-word" is not politically correct. his response was "i dont understand. [one of the black girls names on the show] and [one of the black guys names on the show] say ****** all the time." i thought the worse part was when one of the other black girls on the show told him "its ok for us[black people] to say it because we are black. but, its not right for white people to say it". anyways, im not sure why i wrote that. but, i think its a great example of american hypocrisy. in the words of ray bradbury, "oh, what a tangled web we weave."

Well, I may not know Cincinnati but being from a small, West Texas town, I do know my racism.

Whee doggies there sure is a lot of it! Sometimes it's subtle. Sometimes it's understood. Sometimes it's evident in folks and they don't even know it.

Of course around here, most of the violence is spread across the racial divides pretty well. Maybe cause we are a sparsly populated area.

But just like all of America, we got the black part of town, the hispanic part of town, the asian part of town and of course the upper and lower white parts of town.

I haven't read a darned thing about the riots except for the headlines and the teevee blurbs about it.

To just destroy property is usually the pastime of sports fans. To riot means there is apparently something terribly, racially wrong in Cincinnati.

every week or so, we hear about a pitbull attack on a person. Because of this, I keep my family clear of pitbulls. I've labled ALL of them potentially dangerous.

Every DAY we hear about black, inner city thugs killing people, robbing, and causing mayhem. Is it racist to lable them potentially dangerous or is it just common sense?

The problem is it isn't simple. It's something complicated you're looking at simply.

When a group of people "take" the word that's used to denegrate them it's a form of empowerment. It's like saying "this is our word now, you don't have the power to hurt me with it anymore."

Perfect example is "queer". When gay people started embracing it - it took away alot of its negative connotation.

I also live close to cincy.
Been there a lot of times. That city has had trouble for years. The cops have a real hard time there. The threat of their live gets greater each day. These roits are happening in other sities too.
For some reason, I don't no why.
It usually is generated by the black community.
I was living in St.Petersburg Florida on the south side where the same thing happend.
It pisses me off when any race starts rioting.
Most of the time they don't even know the details of what happend until later on.
One person starts it and then others join.
If you watch the the news footage almost all of the rioters where keeping there eye on the cameras to see if they were being taped.
More or less showing off for the news media.
I could type for hours on this subject.
But what would it matter.
If you want to act like animals then expect to be treated like animals.

Looking through these posts, I actually discovered another bad black instance in the news, Jessie Jackson, one of the big leaders of the blacks is fucking other women and stealing money, that's another bad picture to look at.

As far as your comments on the white child molesters, you have a damn good point there. You never hear of any black child molesters, it's always the white guys, I guess that I can chalk you up a point there, he he he. I think that I'm not gonna hang around white people as much anymore. Things is, for all the bitchin and moaning about black rioting, the damage is probably even to if not way less than the damage propigated against blacks in this country today and in the past.

You wanna talk about an ethnic group that has for decades strategically bombed and burned and destroyed lives and property in the name of their fight for victory over oppression? Ever hear of the IRA? What color are they?

Many of you here may never ever know what it's like to be slammed down at every turn because your skin happens to be the color of the day or your beliefs fall into the norm or you have a penis.
