Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, ?. NastyDollars?? and there black magic?

To all,

I have a very strange experience with a gallery from nastydollars.com Every day I place some nastydollar galleries with my id in it in my result pages. At this moment I run a nastydollar gallery on a topspot in my result page. My visitors warned me that there was some strange thing going on with this gallery.

The suspected gallery:
http://gallys.nastydollars.com/mi/3/?id=askjolene

At first site it looks like a normal gallery, if you click on it everything is fine, but when you click from the gallery to the paywebsite the url is redirecting:

http://clicks.equantum.com/clicks?re...&ref_alias=tgp

And my ?askjolene? ID is completely gone.

It ends up at:
http://www.mikeinbrazil.com/main.htm?id=feligo1

This page matched with the gallery, there is just one little tiny difference, my ID is disappeared thanks to the black magic from Nasty Dollars.

To be honest.. that?s sounds nasty to me. I send a email to Nastydollars about it, no response back yet. So.. sending traffic and signups to another party that stole my ID and redirect it to another one.. To show everyone that I?m not whining, I did not remove the gallery and it is still active in my database.

http://search.askjolene.com/search?q...date&media=pic

Result nr 1 with the title cum hang out with mike as they ...

Why posting this message? Just to inform everyone and I hope that nastydollars will be friendly and comes with some clear answers.

Regards,

Jolene

There was another thread about this a couple of days ago. I can confirm that I also see the feligo1 "redirect" (? if it's that)

I use Mozilla under fully patched XP, so it's unlikely to be something external like spyware modifying host files.

The problem most likely lies with spyware infected machines and not with Nasty Dollars.

Hmmm... you're right. I just tried clicking the link myself and got the same redirect. Wonder what's going on?

There you go. No windows involved - definitely no spyware. The gallery doesn't have "askjolene" in it anywhere.

This same thing was discussed in length a couple weeks ago. ND explained that it was an error on their part and apoligized after they quickly fixed the problem. I was the person who discovered it the 1st time. I hope this doesn't become a regular problem.

hmm.. dont get me wrong.. but I'm developing and building spyware filters, written in C, running under Linux, on a 64 bit machine. I'm sure that this is not spyware, it is all delivered from the nastydollar host.

I know what I'm talking about.

Jolene has found a mistake.

We have over 3000 hosted galleries, and new galleries posted 3 times a week. Unfortunately, mistakes, do happen.

We are taking the necessary steps to make sure this does not happen again, and are writing a script to check current galleries in case this error exists elsewhere.

If you think this error affected your account, email us and we will look into it and deal with it immediately.

hmmm could this be why my conversion has dropped...? I thought it was summer slowdown or that ND no longer converts for me and I was ready to pull them...

it actually works for me as it should all the way through.

HUMOR me..

Check hosts file and/or run Webroot spysweeper

Running IE 6.0 here on a Win2k box.. genuinely no problem. askjolene remains for me as well in the code.

Do a search for nastydollars and you'll find the old thread.

Everything works as it should over here.

This is what you said 2 weeks ago when the problem was first reported by SmokeyTheBear and CJ_Ryan:

Quote:
Problem #1 allsitesaccess links are being redirected to learnaboutyourself.com

- typo in DNS led to improper re-direct for a short period of time. if you think your account was effected, please send email to [email protected] and we will review it.

Problem #2 tgp galleries are being redirected from

http://gallys.nastydollars.com/mi/16/?id=yourrefcode
to
http://www.mikeinbrazil.com/main.htm?id=feligo1

An improper re-direct code was uploaded. This has also been fixed.

any questions or comments email [email protected]
So apparently the problem was NOT fixed then.

Also googling "feligo1" gives this page on a Russian site.

http://bannedstuff.com/sponsorlinks/...time.com.shtml

with several affiliate id's including feligo1.

Anyone know what to make of it?

Does the feligo1 account belong to ND?
Why would a redirect have been necessary anyhow, improper or not?

How does a link that was supposed to be http://www.mikeinbrazil.com/main.htm?id=askjolene end up as http://clicks.equantum.com/clicks?re...&ref_alias=tgp anyways?

Thank you every one for your comments. There is just one minor detail that I cant get it out of my head? you run a sponsor program.. in my perception is the main goal of a sponsor program is to get as much signups as possible with a long term focus.

Redirect links in a paywebsite that removes your ID doesn?t sound like a error to me. It sounds like a internal decision to make more money.

As I told on this board before, I?m a programmer, a female programmer.. yes.., I?m damn good in the low level network programming environments. I have seen lots and lots of bugs, I hunt bugs for months nonstop. Some bugs are ghosts, they come and they disappear, you see these kind of bugs a lot in the Artificial Intelligence software.

But to see that kind of bugs in a webserver with a SQL database and some CGI scripting or a flat file solution.. hmmm? a bug that remove your link and put another link back? the bug does not destroy or mix up anything else.. it just do one job: remove your link and put another link in place for it.. that sounds as a damn smart bug to me.

But.. hee? maybe I?m just a paranoid bitch.. maybe I don?t know how it works? maybe.. I see only the dark site, maybe it is a real clever bug, maybe it is just a manual fault? maybe I?m just a paranoid little girl....

Sounds like maybe they had a problem with the page that you were sending to, and that most likely there 404/error traffic is sent to another sponsor to pay the bills.

Nobody believed their "glitch" explanation the first time and they had two weeks to come up with a better explanation or give the real answer. Instead they give the same excuse again???

Maybe they don't know the GFY search url and thought everybody would have forgotten?

Until a better answer comes forward I will assume it was both internal and intentional.

There is no way a third party is able to do these things without knowing of Nasty Dollars. I don?t buy the speculations that they are probably hacked or that it is spyware etc etc. As I told before in my post, I have never seen a bug or network conflict that remove a url and replace it for another one and that don?t destroy anything else. Hocus Pocus to me?

I don?t care that Nasty Dollars want to make some more money, but don?t come with the excuse that I has discovered a fault.. pfffff.. just say: ?well guys and girls I want to make some more money and I sold a bunch traffic to another party and they do some good business and you get a equal share? But no? they are saying that I discovered a fault. That?s lame. Put your money where your mouth is.

I asked myself what?s happened as a large party discovered these tactics from NastyDollars? I?m just a little, small fish? nothing to worry about? but I hope I don?t stand alone?

None of the above?
None of the above.

Probably just a simple mistake. Who really knows though right?

There we go again... If you read the posts than you know it is not just a mistake. True, I cant say this for sure because I do not run the software of Nasty Dollars. But hey... if you think it is a mistake, I would like to join your world, that must be a very friendly, nice sweet enviroment :-)

I figured they would have fixed the problem by now or at least took out the vulnerable galls (it was mi3 with smokey as well).
I better pull their links now and wait for 6 months till everybody is damned sure...

A wise move considering the deafening silence from the ND folks

do you guys have any idea how much money ND makes...they def dont need to steal a sign up or two...they have paid me consistently for three years...and i have had no problems...so if they say they made a mistake a belive them...if you dont like it dont push them, but its only your loss, seeing they have the top sites, and every other program copies their sites

i.e-
cumfiesta (has a million clones)
eurosexparties (i can name two similar concepts)
streetblowjobs (who else is getting blowjobs with camera glasses)
and god so many more...

ND is a leader in this industry....if you dont like them dont push them..simple as that....acutually dont push them...they are bad bad people...my only brawl with them is that everyone, and i mean everyone is pushing them...so the less people that push them. the better my conversions will be!

I personally have nothing against ND but will cross them off the list unless a satisfactory answer comes forward on this issue shortly.

Loyalty is a great thing, but blind loyalty is not. If my top sponsor starts doing weird things I expect an explanation. If you have read this whole thread and are satisfied with their explanation then that is your choice. However Jolene and several others including myself are waiting patiently for a valid explanation that would preserve ND's integrity. Then we will move on and quite happily continue promoting them.
