It doesn't remind me of an acid trip. It reminds me of playing around with WordArt. You don't really need the .com in a company's logo. You should choose strong, simple colours in a memorable and eyecatching pattern. Someone should be able to draw your logo themselves from memory, much like you can sketch the McD's "M" or the Nike swoosh.

Just do some doodles and see what you come up with. THEN take your doodle to the computer and make it happen.
