Sponsors vs Bought Content?

Has any one sat down and calculated the difference in terms of earnings?

Do you earn more by using sponsors content or buying>

Buying involves an investment of time and money, also a very important elelment would be knowing what you're looking for. Plus in the future you can change directions if you fall out with a sponsor.

Where as sponsor content is just there to be grabbed, going to fit the site it's intended for and free.

It depends on how to use the content. If you are using it for promoting a sponsorīs program, the content has to fit to the sponsorīs program and his content. The advantage is that this bought content doesnīt appaer related to the sponsorīs program elsewhere. The problem might be that the surfer doesnīt get the promo model in the sponsorīs program.

If you compare buying content for running an own program vs. promoting a sponsorīs site, youīll be able to earn more with your own program. But thatīs an opportunity only. You need traffic, hosting, billing and the knowledge which content converts.

That means you need a high knowledge in addition to higher investments. So running an own site with own content is much more expensive and risky than promoting a sponsorīs site. If youīre a noob, just stick on promoting unless the requirements are fullfilled.

Promoting a sponsorīs program with own bought content works fine, if it fits to the choosen program.

Sponsor content can be saturated, so the chances of getting it listed on TGP's etc. are much less than "fresh" content you purchase.
If you buy your own content it may sell better however it may not fit the site you are promoting and may result in a dissatisfied member.
Ideally, knowing your sponsor and what they have on their site and using fresh content that fits would work. That way, the sponsor might not have the same set, but perhaps the same model on their site. Sponsors tend to purchase from a select group of content providers thus purchases from the same ones might be a good idea.
