i turned off flash and GFY hasnt lagged all day.

fuck ads.

my blocker has blocked over 1500+ ads so far today from various sites.

what I dont see, I dont miss.

this has NOTHING to do with sound in banners. ;)

People who earn a living from advertising, yet complain about ads seems like a slight contradiction to me.

This is not to say that some of these ads are a bit over the top.

Read my post again, I wasn't agreeing with the methods used in some banners. My comment was about disabling ads in general. The banner in question is indeed a piece of shit, but it doesn't discourage me from viewing ads.

I am not telling you what to do dipshit. I am simply saying there are ways around the banners, either turn off Flash or turn of your sound those who complain about the sound banners. I very much doubt that they will be going away.
