This is not to say that some of these ads are a bit over the top.

Read my post again, I wasn't agreeing with the methods used in some banners. My comment was about disabling ads in general. The banner in question is indeed a piece of shit, but it doesn't discourage me from viewing ads.

I am not telling you what to do dipshit. I am simply saying there are ways around the banners, either turn off Flash or turn of your sound those who complain about the sound banners. I very much doubt that they will be going away.

No. Instead, I surf on GFY with the page scrolled down just enough so the top banner doesn't show. Problem solved...well for me anyways.

Or just turn flash off :)

The better solution is to block www1.gofuckyourself.com which is the ad server.

I got a better solution - don't use the product/company that has decided to annoy you with a shitty banner.
