From what I've seen from infecting myself, it looks like there is a first level program that installs, and then over time installs other spyware apps. It's possible that an initial install of PurityScan might prompt for an additional MediaTickets install or whatever they have in the loop.

If MediaTickets is already installed I highly doubt that they prompt them again for installation of MediaTickets.

Does it matter? Based on their TOS they can install whatever they want, however they want, whenever they want. Even they don't know what, why or when, just that they will.

I never said that they don't install other stuff ( i'm pretty sure that they do that because it's stated in their TOS )

I just said that it would be rather stupid for MediaTickets to display an installation prompt again although MediaTickets was already installed.

But, if you read the quotes above you will notice that around 70% of all are saying that they are bombed with prompts to install MediaTickets.

Go Figure!

Ahh, in those cases I think what happens is the surfers are hitting pages with MediaTickets code on it that has been set to try to install it a huge number of times with a delay on the install. From what I've seen, the installer will try to install even if it's already on the surfer's system.
There was an issue on GFY last year with PurityScan not paying out webmasters when they told them they were only paying for UNIQUE installs, which means the installers they use are agressive enough to install multiple times.

They pay on installs. Whether it's "stealth" or not seems to be a matter of debate. They of course say they're not. They say it's been WMs changing their code in order to do it. However, there's been links to sites that supposedly prove it does stealth installs. I haven't tested them myself.
