UPC/ Universal Product Code - Anyone have info?
I need a UPC for a DVD that will be going out soon, and have a couple of questions. I checked out http://www.uc-council.org/ which seems to be the main UPC website. They don't have fees listed (fees are based on income of product from what I read is around $800 which doesnt seem to be bad), but they seem to be pretty confusing.
I also saw a few websites that sell individual barcodes. If I start selling products I will only need a few to start. With uc-council.org they issue you the main number which will allow you to have a million upcs which is not neccessary. Ive come across http://www.buyabarcode.com/ http://www.aureamedia.com anyone have any info or recomendations that I can read to learn about upcs? Should I just go with uc-council.org or anyone know anything else? thanks |
