So.. your thoughts on the new batman movie?

What do you think? Think they'll go the Batman Forever route and totally mess with everything including the costumes and gadgets?

I think if done right, this could be a very kick ass movie. I would have loved to see Michael Keaton back though... oh well.

For a second I thought you meant that hideous Halle Barre movie.

This is the first I've heard of this. Interesting.

uh no... other than her having the name Catwoman and it being in Gotham (I think), I see no similarities to the Batman world for that movie.

No trailers available yet that I know of. They have an impressive cast list though.

It just isn't a good Batman movie if it's not done by Tim Burton

Looks like its going to be a dark movie... which is a good thing.

Never did like Batman when he got all comicy. Think Batman & Robin and the TV Show

Actually He's Playing Alfred

Liam Neeson .... Henri Ducard
Michael Caine .... Alfred Pennyworth
Katie Holmes .... Rachel Dodson
Cillian Murphy .... Dr. Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow
Gary Oldman .... Lieutenant James Gordon
Ken Watanabe .... Ra's Al Ghul
Tom Wilkinson .... Carmine Falcone
Morgan Freeman .... Lucius Fox
Rutger Hauer .... Mr. Earle
Sara Stewart .... Martha Wayne
Richard Brake .... Joe Chill

Seeing this cast... Im starting to question the movie now. Ra's Al Ghul and the scarecrow? This double villain thing is usually a bad sign. But then again with this many good actors. The movie can't go wrong can it?

They wouldn't have cast Christian Bale as Batman if this wasn't intended to be a 'dark' interpretation; calm brooding stone-faced repressed-rage-ready-to-explode is what he does best. And it's in the hands of a very good director. also, Michael Caine.. Morgan Freeman.. Liam Neeson.. Gary Oldman.. these guys can be picky about their roles and you don't usually see them in crap.

I never did like this Ra's al Ghul villain tho.
Too bad the last few pieces of shit used up most of the best badguys...
... but what about Clayface? dammit!

I agree, that was never a good villain in my opinion, however... I did see a Scarecrow in the list of villains, and he's kinda cool. At least he was a villain with a gimmick, like the rest.

Heh, well... with the way movies are made these days, a Batman movie could totally kick Spiderman's ass in the box office IF the movie is done well.

And I think that's what they're going for.

Batman Begins is going to rock for several reasons. The movie is very loosely based on "Year One" and we will see Bruce train before donning the mask. There will be bat-gadgets but this movie actually shows how and where he gets them. Ra's Al Ghul will actually be an international criminal and be mostly behind the scenes. Scarecrow supposedly will not appear in full costume towards the end of the movie.

While I love the first two Batman movies, this movie will bring the character closer to what fans have been praying for.

Too bad that Catwoman with Halle Berry was ever made

I can't wait for this - it is being billed as quite a dark movie so hopefully it will be more like the Tim Burton originals
