Representive thinks Osama may be hidden by Bush & Co.
Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash, said, "There are already rumours circulating that Osama bin Laden is being held somewhere already and it's only that they are trying to decide what day they should bring him out."
McDermott tacitly accused the administration of a similar scheme in a remark to a reporter after the capture of Saddam Hussein. "I don't know if it was definitely planned on this weekend, but I know they've been in contact with people all along who knew basically where he was," McDermott reportedly said. Former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright echoed the bin Laden rumor, suggesting to Morton Kondracke of Fox News: "Do you suppose that the Bush administration has Osama bin Laden hidden away somewhere and will bring him out before the election?" Full article I'm just a new's whore. I hate new's whores, really, but this is just so interesting to see political figures treading in the territory of so-called conspiracy theorists. Lends some weight to the internet rumor mongering but, in the end, I think that the Bush relationship with the bin Laden's has led him to "forget" about Osama. If he captures him he'll have to kill him and I think his family would not like that result. Bush has already remarked on Osama saying something along the lines of "he's not important....i don't know where he is and I don't care." (really odd remarks) I think that shows that Osama popping up is unlikely.

i've been sayign that all along
i dont think it will matter much to other bin ladens if they kill him or not since they have publicly "disowned him" they'd probably stand to gain more if he was killed by Bush |

Bush on 9/13/2001: "The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." Bush on 3/13/2002: "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

The saddest thing is if any of you Bush bashers had the choice of having OBL but Bush would inevitably get a polling boost, you'd choose against capturing him.
