On your website. Targetted ads...
CPM (cost per thousand)
or CPC (cost per click)

And what CPC would it take to put up some skyscrapers (80x600) and banners (468x60) and even larger banners (720x90) etc. What sort of per click would you require if the CTR was around 1-3%?

CPA (rate depends on product). You know how PPC SE traffic converts, no way would I settle for CPC/CPM.
