10mbit - best price?

So... whats the best price now? Been some months since I asked...

I want a server included.

No service needed.

Shitty bandwith = OK.

Set up fees = gay.

One Rule = post your price here.

I know there will not be many posts here with prices just like the last time. And I know the reason. But its worth a try

You can get 10 mbits w/o any setup fee for $450 at Server Provider. It's not shitty BW either

Our bandwidth isn't shitty (XO, Yipes, Global Crossing)... so I doubt my pricing will be on the bottom here.

P4 2.4ghz with 512MB ram, 18GB SCSI (upgradable to dual 18GB or 36GB) with 1000GB of bandwidth is $500/mo. This provides you with no addon service.. you get a login to a remote power controller, and you're basically on your own.

No setup fee, no contract.

We can also offer management, maintenance, security auditing, firewalling, VPNs, etc..

We're located in downtown Los Angeles, across the street from One Wilshire (soon to be in the 11th floor in One Wilshire).

Also.. if you're local, we can do private T1s for as little as $200/mo. Next best thing to being on the same network as your servers.

COGENT

Can someone explain what this is, and how to detect if a host is using it and the pros and cons to having it. Obviously its cheaper, how is it worse quality though?

Unfortunately a traceroute does little beyond telling you who is announcing their IP blocks.

Also, many hosts who use Cogent may not be using it for their own corporate sites.

And there are quite a few that hide cogent as much as possible, and just dump data out through the cogent link. The way hosts do this is by routing ICMP traffic out one link, and all other TCP traffic out the Cogent link. What this ends up resulting with is a perfect traceroute out through a "good" provider.

I used to have Cogent, back when the AOL mess was going on (a year ago).. it sucked then. But it's been quite good since from what I've seen.

I just realised I didn't answer the post question.. stupid me (I didn't see the 10mbit requirement).

We can do 10mbit unmetered with the same specs I mentioned above for $749/mo. If you want non mixed bandwidth, Yipes-only I can probably do for $550/mo.

www.reflected.net:

$399/mo will get you:

10mbps unmetered, overage at $49/mbit. You can have it capped if you want for the same $399 price. There are no set up fees. This is for a 2.6 Ghz server with 120 GB HD and 1 GB of RAM.

Our bandwidth is good (Mostly Above Net, but also several other providers and we're adding Level3 this month), our network is excellent, and the service is superb. 100% up-time guarantee too or you get a service credit.

If you want it hit me up on ICQ 868140.

You get 24/7 phone support for any issues you may have.. we keep techs on staff in the data center 24 hours/365 days... the servers come fully managed so we do everything -- adding domains, email accounts, minor script installs, etc... for any major work we charge a reasonable support fee ($30/hr).

We will move everything over from your current host and get everything running seamlessly as well .. hit me up on ICQ at 868140 with any questions or just visit the website for more details (www.reflected.net)

At VibeHosting pricing is as follows:

- Celeron 2.0, 512MB memory, 80GB drive at $399/mo w/ cPanel

- P4 2.53 or up, 1GB, 120GB drive at $399/mo (+$30 cPanel)

- Dual Xeon 2.4 (hyperthreading makes 4 CPUs), 1GB, 160GB or 2x 80GB or 36GB 10k RPM at $499/mo (+$30 cPanel, or see below)

- Dual Xeon 2.8, 2GB, 2x 200GB, cPanel included at $529/mo (I only have one, would like to move it asap)

Hit me up and I'll make it 13mbit instead of 10mbit, 1000 Gigs extra!

An extra 80GB drive or stick of 512MB is $20/month or $89 one time setup, software RAID can be set up for free. It's eXchange colo in San Francisco, NLayer and Broadwing in BGP (mostly Global Crossing). Optionally servers are managed and monitored for service failures with response, 15min reaction time by staff to reboots, 24x7x365.

Or hit me up on ICQ 51034232, hope to earn your business.
