I'm going to be doing a site where I post pics of babes, and my sister gave me the idea of having the ability to rank them. I've seen this done on a few sites.

Anyone know where I can get a scrip that I can use to do this?

You mean like this one. I have never got round to finishing it, needs a few bugs ironing out and some alterations to the layout. Does not have any install facility, this is a custom perl-cgi script I started last year. Take a look and give it a try, please dont hit it too hard cos the data file locks are off. Does render too well in netscape 4,7 I need to change the html.

i do sell the script myself.. but i cant post the url in here since its considering spamming so give me email at [email protected] and we can discuss about pricing and everything for that script.. i will be coding the newer verison of the script which will inculde moderator (other people can accept or decline the pics and everything.. and everything is easy to use.. and easy to change everything (i can edit some custom stuff for you..)

That is what I had in mind, like what you have done with that page. If you want to share the script, I'd love to give it a whirl.

X-Man, I checked out the site, I don't have the funds to purchase that script right now

for $250, but maybe in the future when I'm more sucessful.

At the moment it needs cleaning up. Your post has prompted me find some time and finish the job. If you can wait a short while I will let you use it no probs. If you have no script experience you might need help with setup and changing the html but its all very easy stuff to someone with limited knowlege of perl and CGI.

I am no perl expert but as I often get dumped in the deep end here I found learning basic perl really useful.

I know enuf that I could modify the variables I needed to when I built TGP and paid for the script from eliteTGP, but that is about it.

We are not set to go for a few weeks. We will be shooting are own content, then putting them up, so it will be a little bit before we get it on-line. Gonna be a non-nude glamor site, so this will be interesting....

susan: i could edit the script and show sponsors every 20 times they looked at the pics or something which that part is easy to add feature.. and for the pricing.. it can be negoateable.. depending whats the deals..
like i said before i can add some custom scripts to it.. making people attracted to the sponsor or something..

Thats a nice marketing idea you have there. All this takes the visitor away from the boring gallery and gives the opportunity to hit them with smart advertising as they hop the pics. I personally would apply some random stuff that at some point pulls them right out of the voting page into a full page sponsor ad or similar.

Like I have said before, theres ideas beyond
consoles and stuff.

Basically I want a script that lets people rate individual pictures that I post. After they rate the pics, the new rating shows up under the pics (similiar to Susan's page)

To me fancy would be I'd have a front page that the top 10 - 20 babes show up there, and the rest in pages below the main page.

That is it, I don't need the rest of the bells and whistles. I have a banner rotater script I use. I don't want to set up a pic post, since I'm posting the pics, not outside people.

Would it have to be something that I would add a line of code under each pic that I post? Not sure how that works, since I'm not a pearl writer.
