Australia has baned Internet Gambling

Well not that I gamble online anyhow, but why make it Illegal.

What I don't get is that Internet laws in Australia have completly gone up the creek.

But it's legal for those cocane arse wipes to shoot up in safe houses.....But to sell/buying isn't that Illegal. I don't get it??

All I can say is America here comes the gambling Aussies.

Sorry Aussie, I'm not an expert on Australian internet laws but I have got the impression from what little I have read, that you guys have some toughies. And even scarier than having tough laws?...they enforce them. Ouch.

If you have your servers housed outside of Australia, can they still nail you?

Ah, but isn't it funny how the Oz companies are allowed to operate casinos in Australia as long as Australian residents are not given access? I suppose it makes sense to some politician witha a warped sense of humour

The sooner the Howard/Alston government is voted out, the better!

From what I understand they have always been Illegal, and in fact, certain states are now considering giving limited licenses to run them.

Australia is supposed to be a laid-back country, anyone living here would disagree!

Its an absolute joke. Just like them banning internet porn, lmao.
Makes you wonder how much influencethe hoteliers assoc and casinos had on stopping this so people would have to take their arse down to the local club/casino to play the pokies etc as opposed to doing it online.

Try to find an internet gambling
site who doesn't lure people in,
make a few small payments and then
stop payments.

It's too easy to rip people off with
online gambling. You have no proof
that you won.
