UGH! Tanker man... I must have missed the 'heavy' part of the URL, I was just going there to see if it was a worthy site to trade with my own, and those are some ugly bitches! You know, I know of more than a few things that I think will make money, like gay shit for instance, but the fact that I must look at some pics for even a fraction of a second are enough to make me stay FAR away from that crap. No amount of money could make me do that niche shit. I don't care if it were a cool $1 million / year for just one site. I could deal with it maybe if all I had to do was the programming, and checking stats, but if I gotta even look at the pages or even the URL names in some cases, UGH, leave me out of it!

(I hope you didn't take this as an insult, this is just my personal opinion. I wish you the best with your site, Tanker. I had no idea that you AP guys were doing your own free shit until just a few days ago... )

lensman's comments on http://www.soundingpoint.com/ were really informative and have given me some more inspiration to improve my sites... damn i need a foreign sponsor. about 25% of my traffic, according to extreme tracker, is non-us, non-canadian, non-unknown, and non-dot-com.... so about 20-25% of my traffic seems to be foreign. is that about the same with all you webmasters out there? I'M NOT MAKING ANY MONEY OFF 1/4 MY TRAFFIC!!!

not only that, but i don't have anywhere to send my hard-core XXX surfers except to my #1 referrer who has 2 XXX's in his site title... and i'm sorry to say that they are probably being dissapointed by being directed there seeing that i'm not sure if he has any pics what-so-ever, let alone XXX pics...

i need some foreign and XXX sponsors... and probably a celeb one too... i only have 2 amateur and 1 asian sponsor and that's it.

Foreign sponsors sounds like a good idea to me. I've never come across one b4 however. The only 1 problem I can think of is waiting for the checks to come. I've heard a LOT of complaints from people overseas waiting for checks from the US. I imagine its the same no matter which way the checks are moving... unless there are foreign language sponsors based in North America. Seems unlikely to me.

As for per signup, I'd check out http://www.extremegreen.com - I've also had luck with Mr. Skin run by Cybererotica.

Lensman spoke about a lot of great topics. Funny how most of them are just common sense, but we are all so tuned into checking our stats everyday that we never even think about them. It seems as though converting traffic is the key. Duh. And what do I have? A network of 3 completely non-nude sites that link with non-nude banners that completely promote dailers and naked amateurs. Yup, I'm smart. Anyone have any ideas for sponsors? Or should I just say fuck it, sell out, and switch over to nude sites. I think I should because us webmasters don't care about the public or our loyal followers, we only care about what makes us the most dollar for our money, and that's what makes this place a wonderful place to live! But seriously, a large deal of my traffic is coming from nude sites now - that's how I boosted my traffic 2x in about 2 weeks (damn!), so I think I gotta start some sponsors with the XXX shit and for the foriegn guys. I was going to do that long ago with alladvantage, since they were the only sponsor I knew about at the time which had non-english websites, but they are off the map now. Too bad, they were making 50% of my income, and that % was rapidly growing...

take a guy getting 200k to his tgp..

his hits are worth something for the cash it makes NOW, and the cash it'll produce late, in new sites creation, etc... that is power..

take the 2Mil+ hits of MrBrian... well, the $/hit might be 10 times less than the Tgp Hits, but he'll have WAY more views, and therefore could probably make a ton of people see a new program or site..

or take the 20K hits in SE traffic.. that is Instant cash when used with a sponsor, or used with a new site, it could build a TON of bookmarkers of high quality fast to start something new..


it's all about context..

I got 6 million hits to my galleries last month... well, that is not worth much if I can't convert it, and certainly worth almost NOTHING in 2 months.. since the work I did on that month will maybe generate 200k of traffic two months from now...


but again, I can take those galleries to make new sites, etc.. it's all about doing work intelligently and using every min of your work for good purposes ... not the #s of hits, but the growth of your $$ or actual $ Checks you receive

I think we all know that hits are worth shit, when out of context. That's why we are trying to look at similar sites - free sites. TGP galleries are not part of the 'free sites' that everyone here is talking about. People getting to TGP galleries are people who know they'll get a very dirty pics, and then they'll move on (and I really fail to understand how anyone can make a dime off of that stuff, especially considering bandwidth costs...)

But, are you trying to say 200k to someone's TGP are useful hits? Perhaps you are talking about the TGP and not the TGP gallery that someone submits - so I guess I didn't follow you. Yeah, for ther TGP itself, 200k is great. What would suck is the people bookmarking is crap traffic. People who are in the know don't convert.

I don't know what MrBrian does, but if you are saying his traffic is 10x worse than TGP traffic, then he must be living in a dump. What does he do? I also fail to see how such crappy traffic will do anything for you - even if you wish to display a new sponsor. I guess that would be the way, if anything, to convert them. Keep showing new shit, because you know they've already seen the old shit 100,000x before they reach you.

Re: SE, I remember someone removing their link from a search engine claiming the traffic was crappy - I almost died when I heard that. SE traffic must be some of the best.

I do completely agree with you that it's not the $ / hit, but it's the growth - since even if your $ / hit is small, but it continually grows, then you're laughing all the way to the bank (has anyone actually done that? laughed all the way to the bank?). I guess that's what I am trying to do with my free sites - I want to get traffic and have it maintained by itself, so that each new trade I make grows my traffic - no simply maintains it. It would suck to get 6 million visits knowing as soon as you slack off, they all disappear...

The inside of Celebrity Database is packed with content and it recurs just about as good as any celeb site does. The only other celeb site I have tried that recurs as well is http://www.celebsxposed.com run by http://www.supremerevenue.com . I have also heard good things about http://www.celebshop.com although I have not used them.

With respect to ExtremeGreen, there really is no point in using the unique or blind program - the sign-up program converts pretty good though at $35/sign-up.

Mr. Skin has three programs. There's a 60% recurring, then there's a $40 per active sign-up (i.e. you get paid when the surfer converts from free trial to monthly membership), and finally you can promote Mr. Skin through the follow-me-free program. With this, you get paid $25 per free trial plus you get credit for all exit traffic. You can find all 3 programs at http://cybererotica.com/money.html

Mr. Skin is a bit unique in that it's not a typical tabloid celeb site but it is probably the most interactive celeb site and there's plenty of stuff inside - it just requires a different method of promoting than the typical celeb site.
http://www.trafficcashgold.com also has 4 celeb sites but the inside of them is total shit when it comes to celeb content. They used to be great when they paid $35 per trial membership but now you only get paid when the trial converts to monthly so I'd avoid them.

BTW, all the above programs pay - never had a problem receiving cheques from them so you're safe there.

CelebsXposed is probably the most friendly as it has no entrance or exit consoles. Celebrity Database has one small exit console that spawns another small one so that's not bad. Mr. Skin, like most Cybererotica programs, is very sticky as it manipulates the back button and spawns many exit consoles - that's part of the reason they can afford the best payouts but it is definitely not friendly on your visitors. I've never tried Mr. Skin's partnership program but I've found that about 40% will convert from trial to monthly with the Mr. Skin Free program which isn't all that bad.

I agree that the free membership type sites do trick surfers but Cybererotica's free programs are just like any other program except the trials are free - it's not like SexKey or Stiffy Cash where you get a free lifetime membership while being billed for access to another site. However, this does not mean that people don't abuse the free trials through their promotional methods. It all depends on how you promote it. You can say that credit card info is only being used for age verification and that the membership is free or you can say that this is a grat site and as an added bonus, it is offering free trials so you can get a look-see before you have to fork over any money. In general free trials - it's no different than software companies providing 30 day free trials on their software and Cybererotica makes it clear that this is a free trial and once your trial is up, you will be rebilled unless you choose to cancel. Now of course, if someone cancels and their credit card is still billed that's another story and there have been sponsors in the past who have employed these practices but Cybererotica is clean in this respect.

Rhizome, great info. i think i'll try CelebsXposed. i hate back button manipulation. if the surfer wants to go back, let him/her go back. why is internet explorer the only prorgram that does things against the user's will anyway? i hope the next generation of browsers block popups, block button manipulation, block resizing, block everything (by default). i'm guilty of using popups, but i gotta to compete in this game. i wouldn't use them if i didn't feel that i had to. imagine this: you go to load winamp, but because the previous program you ran was word so a windows 2002 ad popups up. you say, 'what the fuck is this? i want winamp not fucking windows ads!' weird how we expect this bullshit when we surf. anyway. if i join a celeb sponsor and use their banners, am i allowed to use these banners on my sites? (i tried to download some banners to check out but they didn't show up... something wrong with my internet connection.) if a banner has britney spears on it, am i allowed to use that banner? if i'm not allowed to use a pic of briney, why should i be allowed to use a banner with her on it? can i get sued for that? (i know i probably won't get sued... but could i?) are these celeb sites 100% legal?

HQ, Ed is right concerning the banners. You know, the only celeb site that I beleive is 100% legal is Mr. Skin simply because of the way it is set up. Mr. Skin has taken precautions to make sure that all its content stays within fair use guidelines. All the other celeb sites are in violation of copyright law but at the same time most of them have taken precautions (e.g. no Playboy pictures, no fakes) to protect themselves as best they can against getting sued. So it's really going to have to be a personal decision you make. No, you're not going to get into trouble for using a Britney Spears banner (at least no one has ever been sued for using celebrity images on banners) but yes, the sponsor does not own the copyrights to the pics on the banners.

Yeah, I highly doubt Rolling Stones magazine has giving any small time (relatively speaking) site the copyright to that professional photographer's work. And even if they did this, I hightly doubt that they would allow the person to give it out as free content on their website. That's bullshit. The whole celeb thing seems like bullshit, in terms of legality, that is. You guys think eventually that they'll crack down on it, like APIC has for the photographers? Or are there just too many out there to handle?

After some quick estiamtes, I believe I make about $1 for every 200 visitors... but my site is good for exchanges, so i think i lose a lot of money in sending visitors back to people who give me trades. Probably why my traffic is going up without me even messing with it...
