Misleading Commercials (fine print)

What do you guys think about the fine print that some companies use to mislead people into using their products/services ?

For instance, there's AOL who comes out and boasts 700 FREE HOURS ! Then in the small print it says "for a month". Some people see the big picture and think that 700 hours would last them a year and they join up with them.

The thing is that in a 30 day month, there's 720 hours, so you'd have to stay connected for the whole mont to actually burn those up. Why don't those assholes just say "First Month Free" ??? I guess that it's all about misleading people that don't read the fine print. Then they charge a fee that's a couple of bucks more than the normal net provider and from what I hear, their connections suck, he he.

I'm the kind of guy that always reads the small print, that's just like watching comercials, I bug the hell outta my wifey, he he. For example with that Slim Fast commercial where there's that lady on there saying something like "I lost 68 pounds in 3 months using the Slim Fast diet", then in the small print at the bottom of the screen it says "Results not typical". Well, if the results aren't typical, then why the fuck are you boasting about the product doing them ??? In other words, it should say that it's a rare fucking instance that you'll lose that much weight, he he he.

I know that this is like a stupid topic to discus, but it's something that bugs the fuck outta me, how about you guys ?? he he he.

AOL licks balls.

Seriously, I know just what you mean, Slick. There's some new law firm commercials that make me laugh my ass off. At the bottom of the screen it says something to the effect that it's not real and is made up, and it shows someone talking about how much money they got because they went to this dude's firm, like 'i got $450,000'. Then the dude comes out and says 'i may not be able to get you 450,000, but i will work just as hard to get the money you deserve'. Ha ha ha, that's fucking too much. Just as hard as what? Just as hard as the fake case you've just shown? And I've seen about 4 of these commercials with different fake cases, and he repeats the exact line 'i may not be able to get you $xxx,000, but i will work just as hard to get the money you deserve' repeating the fake amount he made for his fake case. What a fool.

If I had money, I'd go make mockeries of these commercials just for the laugh. I'd redo that dude's commercial exactly, but make him say 'i may not be able to get you $450,000, but i will work just as hard as i would have in that case had it been real' ha ha http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif
