It basically uses like sound waves or something to vibrate your teeth clean. I'm not sure on the theory really.

I really didnt care for the sensation.

I have one. It does kind of wake me up in the morning. My dentist told me to get one and it would help my gums...I've had it about 1.5 years, and my gums are in much worse shape.

Hmm.

Consumer reports said it wasn't worth it.

They tested all the electric toothbrushes and said the one from Oral B was the best.

However, they also said the main reason people get better results with electric brushes is because they brush longer with them than with a regular brush.
So the best and most cost effective way is to use your regular toothbrush for a full 2 minutes and save yourself some $$.

Sounds about right.. I didn't feel like I was doing an especially great job with the sonic.. it was a gimmick more then anything.

I'm sticking with my Sensodyne toothbrushes with the smaller heads. Love those toothbrushes.

I have a Sonicare Elite and I like it. I also have regular toothbrushes and I like them too, lol. The sonic is good for the gums and along the gumline I think, and the regular is good for the tops and bottoms and tongue.

it is worth it only when complimented by a Gillette Mach 10 super disposable razor.

what the fuck is up with toothbrush and disposable shaver technology? you watch the ads and it looks like shavers are just a few weeks from taking control of the planet like some army of sort of free-thinking cyborgs.

i am scared of shavers and toothbrushes. this technology needs to be heavily regulated and monitored in my opinion.

Probably true overall. But I love my Sonic toothbrush and it does have a timer so you know you've brushed for a full 2 minutes. It does seem to work better than a regular brush to me, as well. The dentist that just cleaned my wife's teeth used a sonic instrument for whatever that's worth.

It's a automatic tooth brush, anyways it's not worth the cash. Get an oral b like someone else said.

Plaque is a figment of the liberal media and the dental industry to scare you into buying useless appliances and pastes. Now, I've heard the arguments on both sides, and there is nothing to convince me of the need to brush your teeth.

I got rid of my teeth at a young age because... I'm straight. Teeth are for gay people. That's why fairies come and get them.

I bought the same thing from my dentist and it rocks. Won't use anything else.

It's good to have a sonic toothbrush because it takes a lot more of dirt than an ordinary toothbrush.
