Time it takes to develop a site

Just wondering, how long would you say it takes to develop different types of adult sites before you start making money.

Anything, cj's, tgp's, pay sites, avs sites. I was just wondering what your personal experiences have been.

I usually make a whole site at one sitting, I'm not talking a pay site here - TGP, CJ, Free Pic, AVS...

Then I tweak them for the rest of my natural life.

my pay site was originally built in a few days, and just like warphead i change something on it daily so it's never really "finished". revenue-wise i did well with it right from the start.

my tgp has been going for about two months and is turning out to be a bit slower getting off the ground but so far so good. the design is a work in progress just as my amateur site is.

if you make a site that you truly plan on making a lot of money with you are never really done with it. you must keep it "familiar" to your bookmark/long term surfers yet fresh so as to keep them interested.

5 years and counting...

I'm an artist, so I'm never happy with it, I feel the need to constantly improve upon it.
This is my hell. My site is an expression of my agitation.

5 years for me, and still not were I want it to be... every day something new pops into my head and I go and try it out. Hey RedShoe, I just checked out your site, looks pretty cool. You don't seem to link to adult sites though...

BTW: Your message board seems to not be working.

I'm too confused as to the question to respond correctly.

Are you talking just about design?

Design AND Marketing?

If it's just design, I do everything myself and can usually put out paysite quality AVS sites, with all links to my sites, sponsors, etc. in 2 days. I work 10 hour days...so 20 hours. Free Sites....2 hours. TGP...1/2 hour.

But as I said, I do all my own graphics, design, etc. so if you use a template and are just doing regular AVS or Free Sites, TGPs, etc. shouldn't be a real quick process(excluding mass submitting, doorways to SE's and other marketing avenues) .

ICQ me if I can help at all. After a couple of years, I'm still not as organized and as quick as I should be. I'm a Virgo (LOL) so I feel a need to have things much more "perfect" than they need to be. But, I would be happy to pass on some tips if you're interested,

April

I meant it should be a "real quick process". Need to start reading my posts prior to hiting the button. LOL

About 2 hours for an avs, 1 hour for a free site, maybe a half hour for a gallery. That's not submit times and my sites are butt ugly and garish. I upload, submit, and forget. My sites rarely get tweaked.

It takes me about an hour to build a free or AVS site complete with minor graphics (title, enter buttons, etc) and and all my links in place. Submitting them takes up about 15 minutes. Once my sites are built I don't touch them much.

We have 2 teen and one feet/legs/hose pay sites. The last one was built in approx 3 weeks from the ground up. It then took me a further 4 months to build a member base large enough to cover costs and show some profit. I always write TGP galleries from scratch making sure to include the little tricks picked up from previous work. Usually takes about 2 hours, my very first gallery took about 10 hours and got zero sign ups.

Latest project is a 16-18 YO non nude / topless site which is now in its 4th week of writing.
